About this deal

A comparison I made with both films shot on the same sunny day and processed and scanned at the same lab, delivered results (from Olympus OM (50mm lens)) that were virtually indistinguishable, unless pixel peeping. I’d always err towards giving it more light than less, as it can quickly look muddy when underexposed.

The companies we use are DPD or DHL and parcels are delivered in 48 hours or sooner from date of despatch. com are the exclusive property of the named author (except where stated otherwise) and are protected by copyright. It was originally intended for everyday photos and for amateur photographers, but experienced photographers can easily make standout shots with the same humble roll of Kodak ColorPlus.I do like Kodak Colorplus 200 but also Kodak Gold 200 not only because they are my favourite film speed but also because they seem to be the rare films available as 24 exp. In April 1880, Eastman leased the third floor of a building on State Street in Rochester, and began to manufacture dry plates for sale. Being an ISO 200 speed film, it offers really fine grain and natural looking results under mixed daylight conditions.

Kodak ColorPlus 200 is a versatile medium-speed daylight-balanced color negative film, characterized by its fine grain structure, high sharpness, and rich color saturation. You can happily load it in a high-end Leica, a 70s SLR, or a plastic reloadable camera and know that you're going to get good and consistent results without having to think too hard! Commuting to work, family life in the garden or around the house, trips to the pub, daily walks in your local area - they will all be photographed with the consistent vintage look. Of these three, the most “consumer-oriented” is color negative – this film costs the least, is the most popular, and can be developed anywhere that film is developed. In 1884, the Eastman-Strong partnership had given way to a new firm -- the Eastman Dry Plate and Film Company -- with 14 shareowners. Recently I thought I would give colour negative film a try again having used a great deal of this film type in the past, which I used to process myself in Neofin Colour chemistry. To understand more about the details above you can check out our film guide or if you want some inspiration then head over to our page on choosing your next film. Even with the limited amount of different color negative films available these days Kodak manages to confuse the people by offering two different “low cost” ISO 200 daylight films: the Kodak Gold 200 (which I already had a look at here and here) and this Color Plus 200.

Even though a few of them were taken during "golden hour" there was considerable cloud cover above, and the sunset/sunrise hues of colour are not too noticeable. Despite being only ISO200 I did also use it for some indoor shots with artificial light which it handled well (this might also be in part thanks to the Silbersalz processing though): Leica M6 | MS-Optics 35mm 1. In our never-ending quest to bring new shooters into the world of film photography, we’re creating a series of fast and simple film reviews that can be read in about two minutes. She mainly covers Lebanon's ever-changing political landscape, focusing on human rights, from women and gender inequality issues, to the discrimination refugees and minorities faced in the country.Metering at 100 ISO for example will result in a smoother look to the grain and increased density in the negative (which is useful for scanning). Late that year, Eastman resigned from his position at the Rochester Savings Bank to devote all his time to the new company and its business. Please note that although we do not take any payment from you until the goods are ready for dispatch, the banks and credit card companies authorise that amount to be paid for a maximum of five to seven days. KODAK GOLD 100 and 200 Films are low-speed color negative films that offer an outstanding combination of color saturation, fine grain, and high sharpness. Through it all, however, and above all else, the image is what it is all about so I now use film alongside digital.
