About this deal

So, i notced that the one cable supplied is balanced but it offers the correct adaptors if case you dont do balanced. Soundstage: Soundstage is good. It is less than my K702 but not by too much. It is fairly deep and wide. I don't think anyone would dislike it for that reason. It is nothing special though. I don't get a "Concert Hall" like feeling, it is simply good. This is the first time I can talk about an excellent overall value. The Zeus has what I could call perfect 10/10 value. The sound is simply too good, and if you didn’t tell me what they cost, I could’ve easily placed them in the same group as HIFIMAN Ananda, and have paid 800 USD for them. But happily, they don’t cost that, but 350 USD, which is really really low for the sound they are able to produce.

Relative to the Zeus, they improve on matters like bass response but may not be overall better due to their odd tonality. This section is going to be very reminiscent of my Helios review, as the basic design and materials of the Zeus are a recycle of the Helios. The walnut wooden cups are the standout feature and are smoothly and perfectly finished. The walnut wood cups are perfectly manufactured. When i listen to the Zeus, i find the soundstage much wider then the HD600, the treble overall much more pleasing, as its silky yet detailed.

Tentative ranks are now available for my patrons. “Cliffnotes” titles are also available, so if you’re someone who can’t wait Transient response is so far the best part of this headphone and I’m very curious how these will measure in terms of bass delivery and diaphragm decay, patience fellow headphone enthusiasts as everything will be revealed soon enough. This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use that is not intended. There are no warranties other than expressly set forth herein. On a tight budget I would pair these with a small combo like Topping E30 and L30 and on higher budget, SMSL SU-9 powered by SH-9 should offer an audible improvement. If you want only the best out of them, look no further to Class-A amplifiers like those I’ve mentioned before that will take care of their obvious flaws and will further elevate their performance.

I don’t really consider the case a good way of transporting them, being extremely large, and a really easy way to attract unwanted attention. If you ever wanted to see how the inside of a police station looked like, traveling with the case of the HarmonicDyne Zeus is a great way to find out.

Avid readers of IEF should be able to predict what I’m about to say next: yes, the Zeus is a headphone that very much specialises in the “male vocals, bowed strings” range of instruments common in headphones of this tuning. Its tonality is certainly one that focuses on the lower harmonics, which is great for instruments that depend on them heavily (i.e. pianos, cellos, male vocals of course) but not ideal for others that depend on higher harmonics (i.e. flutes, violins, percussions). Overall, Zeus seems to be targeting the Harman OE 2017 curve, that focuses mostly on a great bass and treble performance at the cost of a recessed upper midrange and I’m fine with that. Treble lovers and those looking for extreme precision aren’t likely to find their perfect headphones here. But let’s be honest, those people probably stopped reading at “warm”. The Zeus’ high end has just enough bite to keep things lively without ever sounding glary or harsh. Soundstage

Treble : Extension is good. Its not thin. Its not sibilant, and its balanced within the overall FR. Its excellent. So, here are the photos., and one more thing. Someone "out there" said this Gear is a '"V" shape. And that is absolutely not a fact... That is a fiction. At over 400 grams (without cable), all that metal and wood adds up to a heavy headphone, especially for a dynamic driver. Unfortunately, the minimal synthetic leather padding on the bottom of the band isn’t quite sufficient to offset the weight. You certainly feel the weight after a long listening session. This kind of quality is possible because the relevant components — the cables, the casing, the drivers, the wiring — are all relatively cheap, even at the highest quality. The diaphragm of the tiny speaker inside an earbud may cost as little as five cents, or as much as four dollars for a diamond-coated version. And for earbuds and IEMs, the quality of the components translates directly to the quality of the product.

Design

Cable : Its nice, with just a slight bit of jank, but this will resolve itself, as the cable is cloth. Props to HarmonicDyne. The new drivers in the Zeus fix the unnatural midrange of the Helios. The in-your-face v-shaped sound signature of the Helios has been replaced with something far more neutral and relaxed.

Review: HarmonicDyne Zeus Headphones – It’s Hard to Tell the

All this means that similar (or the same) components show up in a variety of brand names and designs. I recently reviewed the relatively inexpensive Takstar HF 580 planar headphones, which share the same drivers with a few other headphones, some costing more than 3 times the price of the HF 580. Wow, the BOSSHiFi B7 driver and driver structure look the same as the HarmonicDyne headphones. (From: thinkermakerdiyer/Imgur)

Tech Highlights

It seems that time has created space for me to fairly assess things, and I’m far more impressed with the Poseidon than I expected I’d be. is a dangerous place to be in the headphone world, but the Zeus manages to differentiate itself from the competition.
