About this deal

Radiator: 322 x 137 x 27mm / 12.7 x 5.4 x 1.1” | Fans: 140 x 140 x 25mm / 5.5 x 5.5 x 1” | Fan Speed: Up to 2000 RPM (PWM) | Noise Volume: 10-36 dBA | Warranty: 5 years The Thermaltake Floe Dual Riing RGB 280 TT Premium Edition has no significant competitors when it comes to compatibility. It works with Intel’s LGA 2066, 2011-3, 2011, 1366, 1200, 1156, 1155, 1151, and 1150 processors, as well as AMD’s TR4, AM4, FM2, FM1, AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, and AM2 processors. The Castle 280EX is as remarkable acoustically. It’s somewhat outperformed by the ARCTIC, but it’s one of the quietest 280mm AIO coolers on the market. The rubber fan housing undoubtedly contributes to the low noise levels. Generally it shouldn't be a problem even if they are a bit kinked or twisted. Steve said Arctic Cooling is using rubber tubes on these AiO's which are generally not affected by mechanical deformation. Sure it feels weird having it twisted in a certain way, but shouldn't damage the tubing itself. Especially if it's not really extreme. Buy whatever one fits better in your case the results are going to be margin of error.... I have both the corsair h150i and h115i platinum and they perform nearly identical. The 280 would likely be slightly less noisy due to having one less fan spinning at 12-1500 rpm under load but even then it wouldn't sway me one way or the other.

In terms of performance, the X63 will perform similarly to the H115i. Its Aer P fans can hit speeds of up to 1800 RPM and they operate in a decibale range of between 21-38 dBA. At their loudest, they aren’t much louder than the ML140 PWM fans on the Corsair iCUE H115i. However, as there is no Zero RPM mode on the Aer P fans, the Kraken X63 won’t be able to run as quietly as systems with the H115i in lower CPU load scenarios. Plus, our sophisticated cable management hides both the RGB and PWM cables of your radiator fans in the sleeving. The customizing software, on the other hand, is not particularly user-friendly. Changing cooling profiles requires a complete system restart, thus switching profiles on the fly is out of the question. The app also only controls the lights, not the fan or pump speed, so its use is limited. Small fans have the reputation of being particularly loud and not very durable; that’s why we set out to develop a quiet, sturdy diagonal fan, especially for the Liquid Freezer II. We’re 100% convinced that this 40 mm fan is just as durable as our other case fans. If the fan doesn’t live up to our claims, our customer service team will send you a replacement free of charge (without you having to replace the entire unit). Riing Plus also allows you to adjust the fan and pump speeds in addition to altering the light colors. A companion app for IOS and Android is now available, allowing you to manage anything from your phone.

Another feature that this cooler has in common with its 240mm counterpart is its ease of installation. It’s easy to install and bolt the cooler into place, as it is with most AIO coolers. However, due to the reduced length of its hoses, some minor installation problems may arise, making certain orientations within your tower unfeasible. The Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix is an excellent cooler in general. It can easily keep any high-end CPU cool while also looking great in your case. Yes, it is expensive, but it is well worth the money. Hey! I'm putting together my new PC and I was wondering if the pump orientation on the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 matters? I've attached two example photos to help illustrate my question. Liquid cooling is rapidly gaining popularity as a PC cooling technique. It’s more efficient than air cooling, allowing PC designers to go larger in search of greater power.

Thermal imaging from our FLIR ONE Pro camera shows moderate heat soak around the radiator sides and within coolant tubing at 50% fan speed, while 100% fan speed shows good regulation and exchange of thermal load. Given that the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 runs so quietly, operating the unit with a good PWM curve should allow for aggressive fan speed without excess system noise. Not a big deal since laying the board flat on the table bypasses it, but this could be even easier if Arctic refined the solution with cap screws. On the installation front, buyers should also be aware of the short cables for the fans. They can be connected to the splitter cable (which is sleeved alongside the tubes), but we prefer connecting our fans directly to the motherboard to exercise more control over the fans. This is easily solved with some 4-pin-to-4-pin extension cables. ConclusionThe DeepCool Castle 280EX has outstanding build quality. Its 140mm fans include a rubber casing for noise reduction, and its thin, aluminum radiator has additional skived fins for better cooling efficiency. In your hand, all of the components feel solid, suggesting the AIO cooler’s high quality. Time to move to VRM thermals. Before putting this chart up, a few important points: First, this is all relative, so our measurement points aren’t designed to test the motherboard, but rather to test the cooling capabilities of the CPU cooler on top of it. We’re taking VRM measurements at points that will work better for testing cooler impact, since we don’t care about comparative VRM performance from one board to the next. Second, we’ll show the numbers with the radiator mounted to the side of the bench. That’s how we tested all the liquid coolers so far, as it is more similar to a top-mounted radiator in a case. This means there’s always airflow over the VRM heatsink in all the CLC tests, whereas testing it on the table, away from the VRM, would paint a picture of Arctic’s VRM fan having a higher relative impact since you’d be taking away all cooling otherwise. We have these numbers too, but let’s focus on 3950X OC numbers at 35dBA radiator fan speed first, with the Arctic VRM fan at 100%. The test is also tough to standardize since every motherboard will have different heatsinks and positioning, so although you can mostly extrapolate out a hierarchy, it’s not perfectly comparable to every configuration. And again, please also remember that case configuration is the single most impacting to VRM thermal performance outside of the VRM design and cooling solution. What we’re saying is that this test will create an objective hierarchy, but that in all reality, a couple degrees here-and-there from the cooler won’t really matter much when considering the VRM is unlikely to melt itself in the majority of instances. The best AIO cooler for the year 2021 is the Corsair Hydro H60.”}},{“@type”:”Question”,”name”:”What is the best AIO liquid cooler?”,”acceptedAnswer”:{“@type”:”Answer”,”text”:”

As for noise levels, the Riing Plus fans operate between a noise level of 20-27 dBA. So, they don’t get quite as loud as some of the other options on this list (due to their lower max fan speed), but they also won’t operate as quietly as options like the H115i or EVGA CLC in lower CPU temperature scenarios. The X63 has the same beautiful infinity mirror design on its pump head as the rest of Kraken’s X-series. This cooler is no exception. These are some of the finest and most unique-looking coolers on the market today. as i wasnt happy with it but this meant i had to also replace my Thermaltake Core V21 Case as it was mATX Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 with rad in front pipes down Hovers around 82-85°C with no core ever going past 90°C The Elite Capellix has an amazing quantity of RGB, giving it a bright and contemporary appearance. On the pump and fans, there are 33 LEDs. While this design may not be for everyone, it is undeniably stunning when housed inside a tower. In other testing, the Liquid Freezer II outperformed competitors such as the DeepCool Castle 280EX, another 280mm cooler renowned for its high performance. There definitely aren’t any better 280mm AIO coolers out there when it comes to cooling and noise dampening.
