The story itself....Was it convoluted? Yes. Did it have twists you could predict a mile off? Yes. Was it a fun and engaging journey? Yes. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely! A big reason I recommend this book is because it went in a completely different direction than I was expecting. Honestly, reading the synopsis made me think it was going to be a book full of clichés.....the old (and tired) trope of husband/best friend have an affair and all is lost. That plot is done to death and I'm bored, but thankfully this book (while sometimes OTT) was completely original and fresh. Things get weird when Zoe and Greg finally meet. Do they already know each other? Zoe starts downing alcohol, and after an unpleasant conversation between herself and Kaitlin, Zoe storms off. Congratulation AJ McDine on yet another great book. As usual with your stories, I sped through this one. The book follows a group of old school friends who each receive an invitation to a reunion in an amazing grand house for a whole weekend, where it will be just them catching up over drinks, nibbles & fun - sign me up! What follows is the most twisty plot I have read in a LONG time! Just when you think its all tied up - around it twists again, brilliant.

I was satisfied with the reveal at the end & I loved the very last chapter! A nail biter, for sure!
