Description

However, you cannot expect more from an audio system in this compact size. The integrated equalizer allows you to adjust the sound to your taste. Thus, trebles, mids and basses can be adjusted here. If you don’t have that much tonal sensitivity, you can also select the predefined equalizer modes from Roberts. With plenty of ways to stream the music or podcasts that suit you, we’re sure you’ll find something you love to listen to with the Roberts Blutune T2. As you might expect, the Blutune comes with all the connectivity features you might need, including DAB+, DAB, and FM radio, combined with Bluetooth in case you want to stream music and content from your phone. The sound also has a lot going for it. In particular, the highs and lows are beyond reproach. Nevertheless, there are deductions in the B-grade. The mids sometimes seem a bit muffled. The sound could also have been a bit more spacious. The full audio enjoyment is only available when you sit directly in front of the two stereo speakers. As with all audio products, the motto applies here as well. Try them out before you pass judgment! After all, sound quality is and always will be a subjective matter. At first, setting your Bluetooth up can be a bit fiddly. It’ll be worth it as you’ll also be able to enjoy high sound quality whether you’re streaming or playing music through your radio connection. Roberts ensures you have enough depth and volume in your sound to keep the party going.

Don’t know where to put all your CDs? That’s how I feel too. That’s why I was downright happy to finally have a device in my own home, the BluTune 300, to play my old CD collection. The CD slot is pleasantly unobtrusively hidden on the front and has an automatic feed. I strongly expect that many buyers of the BluTune 300 will feel a similar sensation to mine and will be delighted with the new discovery of their own CD collection. DAB+ allows you to find many different radio stations – assuming reception of the high-quality signal. The bass level is quite high on the default setting, and the treble is a little edgy, but you can adjust the Blutune 200’s performance with the graphic equaliser. Additionally, the system remembers your EQ settings the next time you switch the device on – which is a handy feature. The radio also works when you’re using battery power – making it ideal for when you’re out and about. There are also multiple alarm functions if you want to set different alerts for specific days.

A sustainable second life

Let’s move on to the most important discipline of any audio system. The sound quality. Before I go into the strengths and weaknesses of the BluTune 300, we first need to establish the technical facts. Roberts builds in his noble radio the best conditions for a great sound. This already starts with the choice of materials. The manufacturer promises that the wood used will serve as an effective sound body with great vibration properties. The connectivity is fantastic, which means that you can enjoy amazing music through digital channels, or Bluetooth wherever you are. Roberts Blutune 5 review: Verdict Like most items available from Roberts today, the Blutune 5 probably isn’t your go-to choice if you’re looking for a simple and cheap Bluetooth radio that gets the job done. While the Roberts Blutune T2 DAB radio with Bluetooth doesn’t have the same retro styling, it delivers a sophisticated appeal that’s hard to overlook.

Whether you’re taking the device with you on the move for those afternoon picnics, sessions down by the beach, or romantic declarations of love under your crush’s window – the Blutune 5 will get the job done. Based on our review of the radio, setting it up straight out of the box was relatively easy and simple. Here’s how you should approach the set-up: Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 29th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.)Charging your smartphone couldn’t be easier than with the Blutune 300. Simply place a Qi-charging compatible smartphone (or other compatible device) on the dedicated place on top of the system. For none compatible devices, you can also charge via the USB interface. Compact sizing doesn’t necessarily mean cutting down on features or functionality when you’re dealing with Roberts. The space at the top of the Blutune T2 is shiny silver, giving it a delightful modern appearance, while the side panelling has been done in soft oak wood, giving you that all-important vintage appeal. What’s more, like with most Roberts devices, you’ll find that the DAB connection is particularly strong. It's a beautiful looking piece of kit in my (amateur!) judgement. It feels solid and well put together. Far too early to judge how long it will last in practice. It only arrived today! However, so did the review invitation, so here goes.

Pleased I bought it. I still love CDs but am somewhat alarmed by the apparently declining number of manufacturers of devices to play them. In part, my decision to buy was influenced by my hope to future-proof my collection, all of which is classical music. The Roberts Radio Blutune is a elegant yet unassuming unit styled in charcoal grey with attractive rounded-out corners and a compact chassis. The supplied remote control is even more bijou – in fact it’s too small – but it gets the job done. Although we do think Roberts should consider a mobile app for these new Bluetooth enabled models. On the top of the device is the control panel. Here you can make the most important inputs such as On/Off, Play/Pause, volume and Co. In my opinion, the remote control is a bit of a downer. After all, it looks rather cheap compared to the high-quality radio. This is not only due to the plastic body, but also the buttons on it. These come with a very spongy pressure point, which doesn’t feel good and could have been crisper. The control of the noble radio goes wonderfully simple from the hand. Anyone who has ever operated an audio device does not have to look in the manual to know which button has what meaning. Individual operating steps can be carried out in the interaction of the control unit and the easily recognizable display. Alternatively, the chic radio can also be controlled with the included remote control. Unfortunately, this doesn’t make as high-quality an impression as the radio. In terms of sound quality, you can expect exceptional clarity and clear tones from the Blutune 5. Like most of the Bluetooth radios that you’ll find in the Roberts Radio portfolio, this stylish number doesn’t compromise on sound. On the front of the device, you’ll find a fantastic digital screen where you can browse through music options and even connect to Bluetooth.
