I finished deployment first and had priority, but gave him first turn to prevent an early double turn opportunity. The Summary Painted on 2022-02-15 Issue 71 - Enduring Stormvault (Gryph Hound Statue) Enduring Stormvault (Gryph Hound Statue) I am a competitive minded player, and have trouble toning down my nature when it comes to making lists and playing games. I wanted to bring an army that I could have fun optimising, without necessarily worrying about having to take my foot off the gas because the list was too strong. In the end I settled on Nighthaunt – they’re an army that’s typically been bottom third of armies in the game in second, and 3rd edition has neither been kind nor unkind to them. I’m playing with Reikenor’s Condemned, as they provide a suite of useful buffs to chain rasps and a nice utility artefact. Shyish Reaper –Casting Value 7. A predatory spell that moves 8″ (12″ in Shyish), the controlling player can pivot it before moving it and for every model it passes over, roll a die, if the die rolls higher than their save characteristic, deal 1 mortal wound. Like Aethervoid pendulum but with more control, which kind of goes against why you’d take that spell (To keep an opponent from using it on you). Don’t bother.

Personally, I think the sight of hordes of chainrasp models look amazing on the battlefield. Especially when they’re swarming an unsuspecting enemy or charging through tight streets between buildings. This shouldn’t be confused with Dryad Bark which is a much darker brown. [Dryad Bark]() matches the colour of Stirland Mud texture paint I took home the Golden Spoon in a fun day with friends, and was largely impressed by how well the army did. It would be an exaggeration to say that I was going up against highly optimised lists, but I felt worried about my matchup in all three games, because Nighthaunt traditionally don’t have the damage output and had often failed in late second edition to impress me. That said, board control was the name of the game here, and I was able to keep my support pieces alive just long enough to take control of the centre in all three games while Mannfred ran rampant. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby.

Shrieking Blade –-1 to hit the bearer with melee weapons. Good protection as while your Heroes aren’t affected by rend you cant improve their save either, so you need to find other ways to protect them B+ I always put a coat of Agrax Earthshade over the wood surfaces. The second “brown” darkens it down giving the result a nice amount of definition without … well … I just haven’t tried Nuln Oil over Baneblade Brown Nobody was expecting it to be worth producing … but it was quite good! Issue 06 / Thorns of the Briar Queen Thorns of the Briar Queen

So I (and others) bought two of these magazines, and, converted two of the Glaivewraiths to be Reapers by swapping a normal skull on, sculpting a blindfold, and changing the glaive into a scythe. Spectral tether –Casting Value 6. Heal a friendly Hero within 12″ for D3 wounds. You have access to a better healing spell through the Guardian of Souls, while this spell isn’t atrocious you do have better ways to heal. C+ This is a “B sprue” from an “ABB sprue” from Soul Wars, and, it hase DICE! Issue 16 - Sequitors and Castigators After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products. This is a “A sprue” from an “ABB sprue” that was in the original Age of Sigmar boxed set and is now part of the Thunderstrike Brotherhood.

The Nighthaunt book is pretty dry on Command traits. There aren’t a few different tables for each type of commander, it’s just one with 6. They’re pretty mediocre, so many will choose to run Lady Olynder as a General due to her special ability rather than getting a command trait, we’ll discuss what that does in her unit entry but it is pretty competitive. So what do we know so far about the new Nighthaunt for Age of Sigmar Second Edition? You’ll find a lot of pictures below but the key points are: The Nighthaunt were meant to be more than “just” an army, but a way to explore death and the underworlds in the Mortal Realms. The Nighthaunt aren’t a force of brave soldiers, or mechanical automatons, but rather a motley collection of prisoners – complete with wardens, jailors, and guards. Rather than weapons, the Nighthaunt wield ancient instruments of torture, or simple implements from their former lives, like the clubs and daggers wielded by the Chainrasp Hordes.” Mephiston Red has been my go-to colour for the roses on the Myrmourn Banshee bases the Thorns of the Briar Queen and the (scenic) Glaivewraith Stalkers. Poor Army Traits/Artefacts –As a launch battletome Nighthaunts have really mediocre army traits and artefacts.

Round 2 – Ironjawz

As with many Nighthaunt, the Chainrasp Hordes are little more than wisps of ethereal form willed into reality by sheer force of hatred There are five Glaivewraiths (with the horse head) and four Reapers (with the scythes) along with a Lord-Executioner.

I’ve been drybrushing Rakarth Flesh over the Stirland Mud bases and sometimes Mechanicus Standard Grey stones - but I’d argue Corax White is better for the later. Issue 23 / Liberators and Prosecutor (B Sprue)Lightshard of the Harvest Moon –Pop this once per game. Once you do every unit within 12″ can reroll failed hits. Crazy good with the right timing, but you need to manage the aura around the Guardian of Souls. B+ Chainrasp champions are known as Dreadwardens - the wardens of unrepentant souls. The candles they bear are like beacons to the spirits under their charge, casting a dread light that the Chainrasps believe will lead to their freedom. In fact, it is this eerie glow that helps bind the impenitent to eternal servitude. The Chainrasps may have thought death would be an escape from their terrible imprisonment, but truly, it was only the beginning. [1b] Wargear [ ] As there are quite a few plastic components to this unit, the box is larger than expected, and full to the brim with sprues. Inside you’ll find: Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets. I won priority turn two and took the double, continuing my sweeping manoeuvre to completely clear the right hand side of any threats while solidifying my position in the middle. His Mega Boss was having the time of his life killing chain rasps in the middle, but the rest of the army was dying around him as Mannfred, the Harridans and the Spirit Hosts swept through his flanks. Turn 4 Mannfred charged an incidental unit, then in the combat phase teleported onto the left flank to take control of all three points as only a Warchanter was holding it, putting me firmly in the lead as my opponent was running out of units not tied up in combat to deal with Mannfred.
