About this deal

As is tradition, the Stormcast box gives you a couple of janky-sized units, but this time it’s not quite as bad. Palladors are one of the most mobile units in Stormcast and give Hunters are fine, but required in a couple of the best vanguard battalions. Who doesn’t love good doggos? Best looking Stormcast as voted in 2019. All and all – a solid box. A couple of boxes of these serve a great core to a Cities of Sigmar force, and brave converters can take the extra Warden King and convert it into a Runelord for some anti caster potency and buff potential. They are an essential staple of your army; you’ll need to decide how big the units need to be depending on which hero choices you bring to the table. Points cost of the Daemons of Slaanesh Start Collecting Box A truly iconic Warhammer monster, the Greater Daemons of Tzeentch are called Lords of Change: terrifying, 20-foot-tall hybrids of human, reptile, and bird of prey who walk on their hind legs or fly on huge bird-wings, and channel the warpinto potent psyker spells.

These are generic allegiance abilities available to all Hedonites of Slaanesh players. Feast of Depravities Hellshriek –Roll a die for each enemy unit within 6″. On a 5+ deal one mortal wound. Way too low damage to be worth it and requires you to get awfully close. D The only reason to not have many of these boxes is if you are interested in a mortal army (mainly Slaves to Darkness or a Beasts of Chaos battalion) but even in this case you would need some daemons to summon. As for the Chaos Lord on Karkadrak – it’s a fun little combat monster that has impressive offensive and defensive capabilities, a nice leader to have when you’re learning a new faction. Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets.

Spells are divided into 3 schools. One for any Wizard, one for Greater Daemons and one for Mortals (How nice of GW to think of them) Lore of Slaanesh (All Wizards) After years of collecting, buying and selling, building and painting, we realised that we had amassed a small library of Build Instructions, Assembly Instructions and User Guides for various Games Workshop products. This is the only start collecting box for Slaanesh and despite not including the best Slaaneshi units or some of the newest models, it’s still a good value box with many essential units. The Aegis is a 6+ feel no pain which is still a solid option to keep them alive a bit longer. The whip is technically your only ranged weapon and while it is great against MONSTERs but youre unlikely to know youre fighting one until after the list is set up, so it’s probably just not worth it. At 6″ the word “missile weapon” is really stretching its definition. They are fast and hit hard, but they are not durable and, with a save of 5+, they will most likely melt in a protracted fight. A unit of 5 can be summoned for 10 depravity points. 10 Daemonettes of SlaaneshAs a starting point for Slaanesh this box is definitely excessive. The main piece, the chariot, has 6 multiple assembly options, including combining the sprues from two Seeker Chariots to make a single Exalted Chariot. If that is not Slaaneshi… Add 1 to charge rolls. Short and sweet and if you have a bunch of chariots, as you probably do it has obvious uses. Maniacal Hunters As creatures of psychic energy, not flesh, all Slaanesh Daemons reflect some aspect of their patron god’s essence: sin, excess, hedonism, sensation, temptation, obsession – but, above all, the deadly threats that lurk beneath mortal desire. On the upside, though, that’s one of the big draws of the Chaos Daemons army: it’s one big, weird, terrifying patchwork quilt, and you can freely throw together a horde from whichever gods’ daemons you fancy. As for the Grandfather’s greatest servants, the Greater Daemons of Nurgle are known lovingly as Great Unclean Ones.

Has been nerfed heavily –Slaanesh has been hit with a double whammy with fairly recent updates that both weakened its core mechanics and also raised the point cost. It has yet to be seen just how much this hurts. The second of the 2 Cities of Sigmar boxes that came out with the Battletome, this time its the chance of the old plastic Dwarves to take the turn in the spotlight. The flexibility is always appreciated as it reduces likelihood of redundant copies of heroes, and Vulkite Berzerkers form the core of many Fyreslayer armies so buying 2 or 3 copies of this makes a nice little core to add to and a suite of heroes to bring to the table. Consider expanding this box with a few boxes of Auric Heathguard to add some extra punch to your forces. Last of the Battletome’s factions. Godseekers are the ones hoping to find Slaanesh and liberate them, so they can return them to their throne. On the table, these guys move fast even by Slaanesh standards and can almost guarantee a first turn charge. Gaining Seeker Chariots as a battleline is actually a decent perk in a list that is built around them. Included in the box is an exclusive Warscroll Battalion rules sheet – Cavalcade of Excess – allowing you to collect, assemble and play with your new miniatures right away! Related products

What are Chaos Daemons?

Breathtaker –Reroll the Locus of Diversion roll for an enemy unit within 3″. This is better after the Locus nerf but one of the few artifacts that’s less useful on a Keeper of Secrets because the odds are still pretty high. It’s still not the worst artefact B- This applies now more than ever, because, under the current “simplified, not simple” 10th edition index rules, there’s only one Warhammer 40k detachment choiceavailable, and it reallydoesn’t provide anycompellingstrategicincentiveto limit yourself to one god. Each box will provide enough conversion bits for many other armies and since you will need plenty of Daemonettes and Seekers you will most likely buy many of these boxes. The old version of this with the Kabals stuff in felt a lot better than this one does. That said, you can at least get somewhere with this – all of Succubi, Wyches, and Venoms are good units you’ll want for a budding Drukhari army, and Reavers are OK I guess. What would have been really nice is if instead of replacing the old box, we got something like the Daemons of X boxes for Kabals, Covens, and Wych Cults, but alas.
