For new lawns Again take note of the weather conditions, fertiliser will not work if the ground isn’t moist and the salt content within the fertiliser can cause even more stress for the lawn. If the conditions suddenly change then you can feed the lawn using either a granular (recommended) or liquid feeder. If you can’t tell then take a small sample of soil from your garden. If you think the soil in your lawn is different from the rest of the garden then use a spade to lift a small area of lawn turf and take a golf ball size bit of soil from about 2” down.
If you have weeds and/or moss in your lawn then use a weed, feed and moss killer to save time and money on buying and applying weed killer for lawns and lawn fertiliser separately.
