The watch is presented on a stainless steel mesh bracelet which looks really great with the overall design of the watch. The movement is not the most accurate, but at this price, we are content with just having the great durability that Seiko’s automatic movements offer. Much to the disappointment of many SKX fans, the new Seiko 5 Sports do not have a screw down crown. As such, it won't be compatible with the range of SKX007 aftermarket crowns. ❌ Fat Springbars But looking at the collection as a whole, the SRPD77K1 isn’t the most traditional or most flamboyant watch. In my opinion, it’s the perfect middle-of-the-road Seiko 5 Sports watch.

Unlike many automatic watches, this model comes with a Seconds-Stop function which allows the wearer to completely halt the movement within the watch. The watch has a water resistance of 100m/330 feet which makes it suitable for swimming and showering, but not deep diving. A noticable cult following and modding community evolved around this timepiece. The Seiko SKX was launched in 1996 and discontinued in 2019. The Seiko 5 collection, in particular, is a popular lineup of watches from Seiko which is appreciated all around the world for the exceptional value they offer thanks to its finish and build quality, in relation to its price. The watch has a sporty appeal to it and a fresh touch of blue which makes adds to the sportiness but also makes it perfect as an everyday watch. Despite its sporty design, it makes for a great everyday timepiece. There’s also plenty of diversity in bracelets and straps, and the whole series looks like an intentional palette. I’m sure everybody can find at least one piece that fits their taste, although maybe not their wrist.

The color of the coin edge bezel is also gunmetal grey. The insert is aluminum and green, which compliments the dial nicely.
