Almost at the same time as we were testing the R-620F, an acquaintance of ours asked to run a couple of tests on the Klipsch R-820F speaker at home. This allowed us to compare the two models of the brand consecutively. We didn’t find too much of a difference in design and performance, although we could try out the R-820-F speakers in a better acoustic designed room with decorative printed sound-absorbing panels on the walls featuring images taken of major cities around the world – as the owners like to travel a great deal. KLIPSCH RECOMMENDATIONS

A spectacularly high efficiency rating of 96dB makes it possible to use these speakers with just about any amp or mini system. The ultra-high efficiency rating means an amp with a power output of just 10 watts or so should be enough to power these speakers to decent levels. This makes them the ideal match for valve amps or even good quality but lower powered mini systems.

We tested the performance of the Klipsch speakers for several musical styles. We first chose an electronic style, and put on the song coauthored by Martin Garrix – Blasterjaxx & Hardwell, Big Room Never Dies. We had a sound rich in details and, the highs sometimes seemed a little too vivid. We experienced good dynamics, a comprehensive, clear and airysoundimage. From classical music to movie watching, the speaker can handle all types of contents pretty well. Along with streaming contents, you can easily pair it with a mid-sized TV. It matches well with 27” screen sizes. While placing it on desktops tables or shelfs, you can use the 7 Inch Desktop Speaker Stands for Mid-Size Bookshelf Computer Speakers or 36” stands.The driver material is chosen in such a way that it produces natural sound quality. Beside the drivers there is a single bass port in each speaker. This means you can place it very close to walls without worrying about bass performance. It can produce detailed and balanced sound. Voices are loud and clear.
