Description

Before applying the Iron Paste make sure the surface is clean and free from rust using Liberon Rust Remover.

It is recommended you lightly dust over the fireplace with a lint free cloth to remove all dust before any maintenance. After this you will need to use your lint free cloth or a small brush and some iron past. Rub the iron paste in using the small brush or cloth and allow the paste to dry for 4 hours. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Please note that this is a decorative finish and is not suitable for use on surfaces that are liable to be subject to intense heat.Numerous techniques and tools exist for achieving these basic goals but the simplest version is just to reheat the old solder with a simple fixed-temperature iron. While this will not offer many options for a high-finesse job, it can be effective if you just need the basic ability to remove a component. Liberon Iron Paste can be used to good decorative effect on sculptured or detailed pieces, when used to highlight and polish raised areas and create contrast. Always test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. Do not apply to hot surfaces. Not suitable for wood burning stoves, Radiators etc. The mixture does not contain substances classified as ‘Substances of Very High Concern' (SVHC) = 0.1% published by the European Before applying Iron Paste, make sure the surface is clean and free from rust. A Rust Remover may be used but if the surface has any rust etc, use a Bronze Liming Brush or course wire wool over the entire surface. This will remove the rust and also prep the surface for a better finish. Once you have wire brushed the iron work, wipe over with a duster.

Liberon Iron Paste is especially ideal for use when restoring and renovating cast iron fire places and surrounds. The easiest way to clean soldering iron tips is simply to manually wipe off any build-up of debris from previous sessions - examine the tips for any residual bits of solder and carbon. However, with heavy use, you may find that further cleaning is required. However, although desoldering can be a pretty basic job, it is still important to follow the correct process and ensure the task is done correctly. Why Desolder?Apply Iron Paste sparingly to the whole surface with a brush or cotton cloth. For awkward areas, a small toothbrush is ideal. Lightly buff off any excess and leave to fully dry. To obtain a decorative, patinated finish on sculpted or high relief pieces, carefully polish the raised area with a cotton cloth. For this example we have a cast iron umbrella stand that was rusty and dirty. It had lost all of its colour and was in need of renovation. A soldering iron is the primary piece of hand-held equipment used in the process of soldering, wherein a small quantity of fusible metal alloy - known as solder - is heated to a high temperature with the tip of the iron.
