The final fight in the chemical factory may be one of the most beautifully choreographed action scenes in the genre’s history. The stunt performers and stars risk their lives to bring it all to life. It’s not even worth describing; it has to be seen to be believed. The camera angles are always placed in a way so that you can see who is doing what, which makes it even more exciting. Films is releasing the film on both 4K and traditional Blu-ray. This is a legendary set for a legendary film, and I couldn’t be happier that this set now exists for fans all over the world to experience one of the greatest action films ever committed to celluloid.

Plus, there’s the color, heightened by a flush Dolby Vision pass. Warmed flesh tones look elevated but not offensively so. Generous saturation brings primaries healthy vividness to the film, to the peak of each hue but without turning into bleeding. Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan headline as the two real-life reporters for the New York Times who dug deep and worked hard to find the truths behind Harvey Weinstein’s criminal behaviors. The details may be new even if the big beats are well familiar by this point, and the film ultimately works best as a showcase for Mulligan and Kazan. It’s a solid watch, but the script never finds the gripping moments managed by something like Spotlight.Dragons Forever isn’t the type of film to make for a commanding visual experience on home video but, that’s more or less a given determined by the elements innate to its photography. The film contains a mix of bright exteriors, lighting schemes, shadows and low-lit environs. Each comes across quite well in this rendering.

Out-takes & Behind the Scenes (12:57) – a series of outtakes and b-roll footage from the production.Of course, the prize is all of the stunt footage and mishaps that typically close out Chan’s film.Interestingly, there is quite a bit of fan interaction in the footage. The footage runs over the score from James Wong Jim.
