About this deal

In A Billion Years, he tells the gripping, harrowing account of growing up in Scientology, serving founder L.

L. Ron Hubbard said: A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where is free to rise to greater heights are the aims of Scientology. As much as he attempts to paint himself the adorable victim, Rinder continually betrays his barn-sized ego throughout his book. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products.

After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. His blog is an excellent source of extra information, especially the stories of other scientologists that are not really his to tell in his book anyways. This grossly oversimplified understanding has created many complexities in our lives and taken away from us the very fundamentals of the joy of living. Then he launches for several pages telling tales of how he persevered and forced the IRS to the negotiating table and submission notwithstanding these decisions: insinuating it was accomplished by unlawful, secret leverage and blackmail. One of the highest-ranking defectors from Scientology exposes the secret inner workings of the powerful organization in this remarkable memoir. Neither were they aware of his aim to safe all mankind, and therefore establish a sort of world domination. Having said that, I think people need to know about this cult and I'm glad I took the plunge and decided to read it.

The very first information I got on Scientology was reading Leah remini's Troublemaker book a few years ago and I also would recommend that as a good place to start. I have followed his story from afar since the first John Sweeney documentary, and I remember the shock and relief I felt when I read he had left scientology. If you read this book and think "It can't possibly be true" -- just look at the one-star reviews obviously posted by Scientologists who haven't read the book.
