This film should have been a limited series event on Disney+, not a film that has to struggle to cram in so much material inside a set runtime. Granted, not everyone is going to like every movie, but many of the reviews I've read seem purposely negative for the sake of being negative. This movie is definitely not on par with the DCU's more "dark" motive of story telling, like how I've some attempt to compare it to, but I will admit to it having a bit more seriousness. There's been issues with film makers making significant changes to fan favourite characters, such as gender and ethnicity. Going by the theatrical trailers I saw beforehand and my un-avoidance of reading some reviews, I will say that this MCU movie wasn't what I was expecting.

I'm not going to give away any spoilers mind you but, upon completion of watching the movie, I believe many of you will understand why.

For the week that ended on March 5th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Encanto reclaimed the top spot on both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the first time since its release three weeks ago. This track lacks the low rumble bass of the Atmos mix (what there is on that track anyway) so what power some big action sequences had just doesn’t really connect. While the 2160p disc transfer provides much better finely-tuned details, and for some big sequences a more nuanced color palette, this disc doesn’t have to contend with a frustratingly dark HDR10 grade. Although, I will admit that WB/DC's inclusion of a bit more jokes in recent movies was a welcome addition.Even Iron Man 2 had its moments, and Thor: Dark World earned some redemption courtesy of both Infinity War / Endgame and Loki (as well as likely the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder no doubt). But given that their other discs usually have 800 as the correct playlist, I'd say 800 is probably the right one.
