His very clear love for Sera, contrasted against his kardia being removed, has always been interesting.Hoping the next book(s) in this series aren’t this rough or take as long to really get the story going. I swear to you, the One who is born of Blood and Ash, the Light and the Fire, and the Brightest Moon, to honor your command. After being quite disappointed with A Soul of Ash and Blood, because I thought it was a pointless book and it was way too long for what little it brought to the plot, I was wary of this one, because this series went from being 3 to 4 books sometimes this year and I was dreading another long and pointless filler book. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, and I knew with the way ALITF left off, there was a lot that was bound to happen. whatever other scraps of relevant unknown information that is contained in this portion of the book could have, and should have, been presented in a more concise manner.

And the way this story tied into the From Blood and Ash Series, especially A Soul of Ash and Blood, oh my heart I am obsessed. Her young adult romantic suspense novel DON’T LOOK BACK was a 2014 nominated Best in Young Adult Fiction by YALSA. One thing that I always appreciate in Jen’s writing is that no matter what the characters never lose their spark or drive and they are no damsel.Other things that bugged me: Why does she have to sleep (in FBAA world), there's no scenes with Jadis or Reaver (UNACCEPTABLE! I really enjoyed seeing things come to light and watching Sera grow to accept things about herself and come to certain realizations. Armentrout comes book three in her beloved Flesh and Fire series… The only thing that can save the realms now is the one thing more powerful than the Fates.
