About this deal

Ease of use: Operation is simple with just one on/off button and two LED lights that will let you know that it’s in operation and alert you when the water tank is full. It only has a small extraction rate of 350ml per day, so this isn’t going to work very well if you’ve got a serious damp issue. The built-in carry handle and castors make it easier to move around the home, but it's certainly not a portable dehumidifier. Had it on continuously and had to empty the collection tray about three or four times every 24 hours.

Again, the lowest level dehumidifying the NETTA 12L unit can achieve is 40%, while the ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier can go as low as 35%. A high humidity puts your home at risk of mould while a low humidity produces an ideal environment for the spread of airborne viruses such as flu. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Perfect for small spaces and rooms up to 15 square metres, this dehumidifier is so neat and compact that it will sit neatly on your shelves or sideboard without you even realising it’s there. Unfortunately I'm not able to test the effectiveness of this function at the time of writing the rewiew.

As the humidity level reduces, the light on the front of the unit changes colour from red to orange to green. While both gadgets extract 12L of water per day, the ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier is a better option when it comes to the water tank capacity. It's easy to use and relatively cheap, but struggles to remove enough water from the air compared to its closest competitors. The 600ml water tank is the right size for the amount of water that’s extracted and means it won’t have to be emptied often. It’s also very heavy, weighing 15kg, so if you’re planning on moving it up and down stairs in your home, you may want to reconsider. We also didn’t find it that much help with drying clothes, although it did a good job of managing general damp and reducing condensation and mould on windows and walls. It filters the surrounding air at 135m3 per hour, making it ideal for people who suffer from airborne allergies. A dehumidifier's extraction rate is an average of how much moisture it can remove from the air during a given timeframe. With a 10 litre capacity, the Electriq CD10L is clearly designed for smaller homes than the excellent CD20LE.
