I'm using the moisturiser as a sandwich it is nice and light and have had no irritation yet other than a teeny bit of peeling on the end of my nose, although I understand from another post that i could still get irritated yet. This reduces the risk of irritation whilst your skin gets use to the ingredients but actually it’s also quite nice to have a quick routine when you’re tired haha! The BeautyBrains blog made a fantastic article about ceramides and they have listed a couple of examples about studies showing that ceramides - especially when used in certain ratios with cholesterol and fatty acids - do hydrate the skin and can help to repair the skin barrier. Aimed at dry skin types, it’s definitely the thicker/richer of the two moisturisers Dermatica offers. More recently Liyya completed a postgraduate certificate in non-medical prescribing so that she can apply her knowledge to managing Dermatica patients.The ingredients list for this cleanser is incredibly short which I appreciate – a good oil cleanser doesn’t really need a bunch of extra essential oils and fragrance! The finish is slightly tacky which I actually don’t mind as it means I can skip primer and go straight to foundation!

I will never use anything other than dermatica I am so relieved I found this brand and have recommended to others. The only downside is that it can sometimes pill if you apply certain products over the top – this mostly only happens with sunscreen sticks for me though!
