About this deal

He was educated at Wellington School, and Brasenose College, Oxford, where he was President of the University Athletics Club, and went on to run the 100 yards in 9.

Another thrilling edge of your seat book by Archer, as we are now on the 4th episode of the Clifton family chronicles. Archer also continues to present an unremarkable prose, but one cannot take away from him his ability to surprise the reader over and over. Jeffrey is published in 114 countries and more than 47 languages, with more than 750,000 5* reviews with international sales passing 275 million copies. Set in England and spanning the years 1957-1964 we follow the Clifton-Barrington family saga in their face off with Don Pedro Martinez, a smuggler who became a staunch enemy in the preceding book and is hell-bent to destroying them. Remorseful that he failed to act in time to avert her suicide, and now aware that Martinez has been trying to sabotage the company, Hardcastle teams up with the Barrington family to help defeat him.As I was reading through the accounts of the daily life of this family, I felt like I was watching a rather lackluster reality show. I don't recommend reading this book as a standalone novel because you would miss out on some of the history of the drama that is always in high gear in this epic family drama. If there was ever a hope of some meaning in the saga of the Cliftons before, it is quickly removed in this book.

The Clifton family saga has turned out to be a masterful mix of fiction in a factually correct world, quirks of logical people and speedy action backed by a lot of thought. Be Careful What You Wish For' is a terrific thriller which some reviewers clearly have enjoyed as a 'stand-alone' novel. The Chelsea Magistrates, and the advocates who appear in front of them, apparently wear gowns and transfer criminal cases - without any investigation of the facts - to the High Court (they might have committed them to the Assizes, Central Criminal Court or Quarter Sessions but not to the High Court and never without first hearing committal proceedings). To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
