In director Danny Boyle's ground breaking take on zombie horror, 28 Days Later, a deadly 'rage' virus transforms the world into a seemingly desolate wasteland. Predator and another Danny Boyle flick, ‘Sunshine,’ which (as of this writing) has yet to be announced for Blu-ray. Best of all, dialogue remains crisp and well-prioritized, even when the third act ratchets up the chaos. i just want to say that you shouldn't listen to anyone else's opinion of the film, only your own, you don't even have to listen to mine, it's just my thoughts on the film that's all, but i do recommend it. The next morning, Frank informs Jim and Selena that supplies, particularly water, are dwindling, and shows them a prerecorded radio broadcast loop transmitted by soldiers near Manchester who claim to have "the answer to infection.

Disregarding the warnings of the local scientist, the activists ultimately free the Rage virus subjects, which attack and infect the activists and scientist. Being a military outfit, though, they aren't one for communal living, and their regiment is harshly ruled over by Major Henry West (Christopher Eccleston). For the most part, these really just replicate parts of the teaser, though in a cool graphic novel style. For the second pack, he lets us know the nature of the shots and provides some additional details about Polaroids and films. Selena and Hannah rush Jim into a deserted hospital, where Selena performs life-saving emergency procedures.I don’t want a movie with absolutely non-stop mayhem, but too much time passes with no evidence of the infected. They don’t always – or usually – tell us why the material didn’t make the final cut, but they’re nicely frank about problems related to the scenes. Other than the intriguing and creepy discussion of possible infections in the future, “Rage” follows the usual path for this sort of documentary, but it does so without too much hyperbole.

Twenty-eight days later, a bicycle courier named Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakens from a coma in a deserted hospital. Slow zombies not only ratchet up the tension, but they allow for more carefully plotted character development. After finding a church, which had become inhabited by zombie like humans intent on his demise, he runs for his life. Unfortunately, not only do those sequences pop up predictably, but also they come about too infrequently for my liking. This is an effectively unsettling dramatic launch, and from there, every step of the way, 28 Days Later doesn't lose its edge.

The film in itself is a really scary movie, and this low quality idea of filming, in my opinion, complemented that. Slowly he pieces together that a plague swept the land, and eventually he meets two other survivors: Mark (Noah Huntley) and Selena (Naomie Harris). The subsequent loss of fine detail is glaring, and the HD both helps and hinders, cleaning up some spots and making the film's digital nature more obvious in other. track (of which almost none of the existing players can take advantage), which means that all I could do was hear the lossy core that my PS3 was able to extract. Invited to spend the night, Selena and Jim privately debate whether they should remain with Frank and Hannah. Next comes a generous collection of "Deleted Scenes and Alternate Endings" that also include optional director commentary. Jim soon discovers the hard way that in less than a month, Rage wiped out all the major population centers in England. Rounding things out is a montage of "Animated Storyboards" (2 minutes), a Jacknife Lee music video (6 minutes), a teaser trailer, and a theatrical trailer presented in high definition. These aren’t your father’s zombies, so rather than plod slowly, the monsters of Later zip and pounce with alacrity. If you want to get more precise, the movie clearly shows its digital video roots, with a harshness that one doesn't get from film. Mbps core on most BD players) that, while still not perfect, will turn heads and impress your friends.Fox probably used the DVD master to transfer it (I've found that Fox are particularly guilty of this on their early Blu-ray transfers). percent is a guess, but considering that the streets of London are barren and industry in all aspects has apparently come to a halt, the number can't be too far off. The three endings that were available on the standard DVD (the fourth is exclusive to this Blu-ray edition -- see below) provide an interesting glimpse into the minds of the filmmakers but don't have an affect on my opinion of the overall film. But I found that quite often, sound placement felt off, and I'm not sure if it was intentional or not.
