I highly doubt a major company like MasterBrand is going to remove a machine that isn’t capable of achieving the quality of finish they are looking for, and replace it with another manufacture just because it’s new and bright and shiny.

It does have provision for dust collection, but how effective it is compared to the Makita I don't know. I've been working with the sander for a few days now cleaning up 20 reclaimed 8/4 oak beams, and I'd like to add a few observations about usage.When I see the bigger kitchen manufactures replacing the Quickwoods and Fladders on the numerous sanding/finishing lines they have with the Robo Tech machines, I tend to take notice. When it's time to sealer sand or sand between coats, the machine is used again for smoothing out the sealer coat and for making a scratch pattern the topcoat can stick to.
