Increase Output: SuperBrush sanders are able to run material up to 30ft a minute (depending on the model you choose), much faster than sanding by hand!

I highly doubt a major company like MasterBrand is going to remove a machine that isn’t capable of achieving the quality of finish they are looking for, and replace it with another manufacture just because it’s new and bright and shiny.

It does have provision for dust collection, but how effective it is compared to the Makita I don't know. Due to the variety of specific designs the brush machines integrate perfectly into a wide variety of applications in the wood market, metal processing, plastics, composites and more. In general, your product has to be ready to finish before it comes to the brush sander before you are going to get the benefits of the brush sander. I purchased the additional 80 grit brush, because I also wanted to test out its capabilities texturing wood, which is the only other task it does besides cleaning timber.

However, traditional sanders can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, especially when working with intricate designs or hard-to-reach areas. Exchanging brushes can be a bit finnicky as you need to lie the machine on its side, pull a long pin out, swap out brushes, and sometimes must jiggle the pin back into alignment, then you tighten it all back up. Now the edge breaking in the wood before stain and sealer makes the brush sanders not break through the edges in the sealer coat. Machines can be fitted with different types of brush according to desired effect and material, and thanks to the two independent bushing units, a corse and fine brush can be used to help finishing. After they are hand sanded, then it's off to the wide orbital, then they are drilled and bound for shipment. The beams I'm working with now -- where the open grain pattern of the oak, many nail holes and cracks create a reservoir for whatever nastiness the beam has come in contact with over the past however many decades -- are dust factories. WOODWEB reserves the right to delete any messages with links, files, or images it deems inappropriate. Then it's off to the sanding tables where several people putty, hand sand (some with orbitals and some with blocks) and check for defects.

This makes the 3D brush sander ideal for sanding complex shapes and contours, as well as hard-to-reach areas. Other factors do come into play when voicing my opinion like ease of working on the machine, parts availability, ect, but keep in mind, that is just my OPINION.I didn't time it, but I was only passing the brush over the same area 3 or 4 times, and we're talking quick passes, not a slow creep. Great review, thanks so much for posting about a true 'niche' tool that you may or may not ever need, but would like accurate info on if you're interested in one.

The perfection line of sanders can be configured with in-line sanding rollers for a lineal finish, a variety of disc station(s) configurations for a non-directional scratch or with both the most adjustable and effective all-purpose brush machine on the market. I've been working with the sander for a few days now cleaning up 20 reclaimed 8/4 oak beams, and I'd like to add a few observations about usage. When I see the bigger kitchen manufactures replacing the Quickwoods and Fladders on the numerous sanding/finishing lines they have with the Robo Tech machines, I tend to take notice. When it's time to sealer sand or sand between coats, the machine is used again for smoothing out the sealer coat and for making a scratch pattern the topcoat can stick to.
