This LP reissue is pressed on 180 Gram black vinyl and features brand new liner notes by Chrissy Boy, Chas Smash and Lee Thompson. featuring Mark Bedford (Bedders), together with other musicians closely connected to Madness, namely: Terry Edwards, Seamus Beaghan and Louis Vause. The rear sleeve appears to be a mixture of new type setting and scans of the pictures from the original rear sleeve, so appears a little disjointed/inconsistent on close inspection. Excellent condition although small hole has been punched through sleeve - this is a familiar feature of this particular Canadian LP, it may have been done to show the record had been deleted or exported.

Remastered from the original master tapes and pressed on green coloured vinyl with refreshed artwork including new inner sleeve. Mint condition, still wrapped in the original shrink wrap but merely opened on one edge to check the colour of the vinyl.

After a disparate couple of years which saw the band at their most polarised and fragmented, Madness reunited in an industrial unit in Cricklewood at the beginning of the year, where Suggs, Mark, Chrissy Boy, Mike, Lee and Woody realised that what united them was always bigger than what divided them. Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie, spearheaded by the floaty, atmospheric ska of lead single ‘C’est La Vie’, also represents the band’s first stab at self-production albeit under the aegis of top engineer Matt Galsbey. I've noticed this newer records also have thicker cardboard and a stronger spine than the old records, a nice touch that should help avoid your new records ending up old and battered like your parents records (if they're anything like my mum's albums anyway! At some point though this album has been remastered, whether that was for the Salvo CD or especially for this vinyl, I don't know. While it was panned at the time and flopped commercially, it contains some of Madness’s most interesting and experimental work, featuring the singles ‘I Pronounce You’ and ‘What’s That’. A limited edition of 1,000 of these LPs were pressed in 2013, then when they sold out a further 500 were pressed in 2014 on black vinyl, here we have a clear vinyl version.
