About this deal

For me, it generally presents as a sharp, white floral which is undercut by vanilla - a vanilla which feels almost cold, rather than warm and spicy. The opening is original and very nice with that dry liquorish maraschino cherry vibe, then it mellows down into a syrupy vanilla with that little maraschino edge. I find this to be the sweetest and strongest of all Givenchy fragrances I've ever tried, and a notable departure from their usual expensive, feminine but slightly prissy lines. I definitely agree that it's ideal for winter, however I do think that it could be pulled off year-round especially for a summer evening social event.

when it settles, it smells of vanilla and creates a really rare vibe, it's dark, mysterious, feels like right before dawn, ambiguous, very otherwordly. It’s sweet and powdery, but it has this airy quality to it that makes it easy to wear during the day too. I have received compliments wearing this which surprises me as I don’t feel it meshes with me skin chemistry. This Open's Up With : Warm Saffron, Thyme And Orange Blossom, Then Lily, Ylang Ylang And Orchard, Followed By That Strong Heady Vanilla Note, Then Tonka Bean, Brazilian Roseword, And Oakmoss! I’m very sensitive to lily in perfumes and that’s mainly what my skin brings out- along with some super dry spicy notes. Jeanne Arthes Love Generation Rock is pretty much a dead ringer of this one, with only minor differences(regular folks cant tell them apart). First spray is like lots of herbs like saffron and thyme on a lovely velvety base of vanilla and tonka bean. Becouse "oops, I did it again" with this one and 3 others few days ago and they arrived today and while all of them were a big dissapointment, this one was a WORST for me. The first 5 minutes or so to me is fizzy vanilla coke, cherry lipgloss, cinnamon sugar, a lush boquet of lilies, freshly peeled mandarin, cutting open a vanilla pod and Smokey ylang ylang incense it's so many different flavours all at once; sweet, spicy, waxy, powdery and dense.

Silage and longevity are indestructible - nothing and nobody can ever budge the scent, and I remember smelling traces of it on a carpet more than a week later. I find it not too sweet, very feminine, sensual, maybe a tad bit heavy, which is why it obviously a cool weather fragrance IMO. Midnight poison by dior was my signature until it was discontinued but I still wear it since I can't find something similar and now I think I have. But it's a deceiving lightness, on the surface only and ultimately an illusion and underneath this pseudo lightness is actually a darker, denser perfume than addict, but these two more extreme sides balance out to give off a vibe that is just like addict. The only negative aspect is that I can't really smell it after about 4-5 hours (it is my nose's problem and not the perfume), just a few days ago I was reaching for the bottle to touch up in the afternoon and my sister stopped me ('Don't spray anymore!

I found this for very, very cheap and based on the reviews thought I would grab it to try and branch out of my comfort zone a bit. So far my experience with the opposite sex with this perfume has been good, I did not come across anyone who has ever found it off-putting, but I did get a compliment from my date, and my uncle who visits us often told me that it is one of the best smelling perfumes I own.

I was obsessed with this one when I was 18, and even now, 15 years later, I still find it absolutely breathtaking. While the herbal thyme stays close to my skin, saffron, lily and vanilla blend together to and project a very warm, creamy aura around me. Then after an hour the scent developed into a creamy vanilla well blended with some delicate flower and woodsy notes. It reminds me of Angel, which is instantly recognisable, but very overused, or was 5-ish years ago, BUT its more elegant and sophisticated.

It's something like Hypnotic Poison but without the almond and coconut, or Kenzo Amour with a little more depth. Saffron smells like a very aromatic floral wood, but is like this wood is been soaked for a few days, until it becomes moldy. There is feel of flirt, dance, dare and decision in this amazing scent that feels like masking the actual reality of an individual.A truly well blended scent I feel smells natural as it hovers close to the skin and ready to flit over towards the noses of those you pass. Everyone seem to say this has great sillage and amazing longevity but I really have to dip my nose into my skin to smell something. No way could a human come up with this fragrance in their head before beginning the creative process. The top notes in this one is white thyme, Italian mandarine and saffron while the heart contains the lily, maxillaria orchid and ylang-ylang. The name is spot on, because it evokes both an angelic sweetness and a mysterious darkness, all at once.
