Description

The piece sounds modern and yet somehow archaic, not clearly in major or minor: a floating, yet expressive melody, equally captivating and restrained. i like the way of opening, not salty not blueish (even its name and bottle color are blue), but i wish that it could stay longer on my skin and clothes.

I do have to spray about 8-10 times though for it to last at all, but I'm slowly coming around on this one.

The herbal sharpness is strong at the start and subsides to let a prickling lavender smell take over, which fades to leave a more mossy base.

It's doesn't play in the niche league, but I can clearly feel that the Miyake brand gave more freedom of creation than usual to Jacques Cavallier compared to the rest of the line. It opens up like fresh spicy citrusy and herbal notes in the background then dry down is green woody. Astral fits in to the Nuit line by offering sweet lime and soft fresh woods for a casual and playful experience. The one thing that hooks me in it with the combination of notes , and the blue bottle, I actually get a "blueberry" vibe, even in an abstracted way. Albeit I have a decent amount of fragrances, I'm glad to add this simple - but well blended - fragrance to my collection!

It's really natural smelling and realistic like you've just chopped a bunch of greens and the smell is still there on your hands. it is a high quality masculine woody/herbal fragrance with good performance and unbelievable value for money at discounters. When dry down, the aromatic notes, chypre, épices and in fine boises are masterfully blended, the dominant rosemary over the citrus and spicy notes wins over everything. Versatility off the charts, it’s a signature scent if you can wear it confidently, the fragrance will pierce through cold and blend in during a sunny day.

Maybe the renewed interest into both Aquatics and Fougeres makes L'Eau Bleue d'Issey worth revisiting. Unique, Unusual, Entrancing, Mesmerizing, Spellbinding, Beguiling, Captivating, Singular, Noteworthy, Distinctive, Remarkable, Memorable, Seductive, Impressive, Splendid, Magnificent, Resplendent, Sumptuous, Superb, Wonderful, Fabulous, Stunning, Fantastic, Beautiful, Alluring, Tempting, Sublime, Glorious, Marvelous, Awesome, Sensational, Stupendous, Breathtaking, Extraordinary, Incredible, Outstanding, Special, Very Special, Memorable. Gradually when I come across TF,creed, bond no9, blue became average performer, I still likes it for daily use 6. The often claimed 'Italiansess' of this perfume becomes most evident here, and turning L'Eau Bleue into quite an enigma, which I thoroughly recommend experiencing. After some minutes, I get very strong and vivid cypress, vivid juniper berries along with ginger and very weak pink pepper. Note: The pros and cons listed on this page have been generated using the artificial intelligence system, which analyzes product reviews submitted by our members. It lasts throughout the entire life of the scent, only mixed slightly with the citrus, but that lasts all but a couple minutes. So disappointed in the performance, might as well pour out the entire bottle and get it over and done with. Rather than the sea, the name and bottle colour could be a reflection of blue-looking distant wooded hills on the horizon, which like this fragrance, are packed full of green woods and herbs.

And again in my humble experience and opinion for this perfume is that: This is strictly for cold temperature or in office with air conditioning. I guess from a market point of view, it just doesn't appeal to either perfume enthusiasts nor to the generic "I own one or two for dates" consumer. I'm a fan of the L'Eau D'Issey line so I obviously love this one alongside all the flankers that resemble the OG, but in this particular case I appreciate how he managed to give a green/herbal twist to that awesome bitter fresh DNA. I first bought this fragrance in 2005 and it was my signature scent at a time when I only owned 5 bottles of cologne total. I also imagine the scent from gardens, the cypress hedges and masses of aromatic rosemary plants with some lavender and geranium dotted here and there. It’s a fragrance that seems to just have many built in layers, over the hours of wearing you are taken on a journey if you will, starting somewhere fresh and clean and ending up somewhere warm and intoxicating. It reminds me of freshly painted metal surfaces on a cargo ship (the resins of cypress/rosemary and the metallic notes of juniper berries and lavender) mixed with marine notes (star anise). Lime + ginger + patchouli in the opening (I get lots of dirty patchouli) and then herbal + forest notes.
