About this deal

It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Ocado Limited's prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. It is a bright shade of rust-orange and the first thing Club Soda members said in Scotland was that it looked like Irn-Bru!

If you have an affinity for the bittersweet flavor profile, you will fall head over heels for this concoction! Crodino takes its name from Crodo, the area in Piedmont (northern Italy) where it has been bottled since 1964. For an extra herbal twist, you can muddle a few basil leaves or thyme sprigs with the other ingredients. Combine 1 1/2 ounces of Crodino, 1 ounce of grenadine, 1 ounce of lemon juice, and a splash of club soda in a shaker with ice. I’m not sold on how much I like it as a soft drink (it just seems to sweet), although, with a bit of lemon juice and ice, it become quite palatable (and remains non-alcoholic).What got me through was an accidental find in a Carluccio’s restaurant during one of our Club Soda lunch meetups for members. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product.

In January, Club Soda members across the country, in Manchester, London and Glasgow, tried Crodino at our lunches and voted for their best ways to drink it. It may be the taste, the fruity note of blood orange, or both, but the bittersweet intensity of Crodino Gusto Arancia Rossa always gives real moments of joy to spend in joy with friends, at home or at the bar. Wheat and barley are often key ingredients in producing drinks such as beer and in sealing wine casks. The cocktail then became popular with the elite and the more sophisticated circles of Italy, especially at receptions and parties.
