With its large south facing windows, boy was I glad that I had spent the money on building a Flat Cat. If you have a traditional hinged screen door, chances are your cat may be able to simply push it open. We have now purchased four Flat Cats from Dominic and he has been unfailingly prompt in his response to queries, courteous and downright helpful.
DP fitted them so that they can be taken down if necessary - they cover the whole window and it means we can have fresh air and no cats escaping! I am really impressed the product, they are invisible from the outside and look very smart on the inside. I just wanted to say that this has been a life/sanity saver and I have recommended you to so many people. They fit perfectly and our cats are able to go and sit by the window smelling the fresh air without us freaking out that they are going to fall out! I have aviary panels (some were bought second hand, some new) made into an enclosure around the patio doors and windows, and over the top.My daughter-in-law thinks they are so good that she is going to see if you can help help her with a flat cat for a patio door. My very nervous, timid cat who doesnt want to go outside now enjoys sitting on the window sill feeling the breeze and watching the birds. The fit is excellent, particularly considering that my windows have handles which protrude very close to the corner of the windows.
The Plisse screen solves the problems that happen with both the traditional hinged screen door and the spring and magnet type of retractable screen doors. Both cats have been very curious but have been well behaved, only one instance of paws on the screen so far. He seems to be absolutely fine with them, and I feel safe to go ahead and measure up some of his other "favourite Windows" for this months purchase.We have always adopted older special needs indoor cats who have never shown any interest in our large open windows. If you do this, join them together with wire rather than cable ties as they can break over time, and make sure you have a good catch on the door part. I have had no trouble fixing them up to the windows, much easier than I dared hope, and they are working well - particularly in the bathrooms and bedrooms. I live in a house converted to flats and it's like a converted attic and I couldn't find where Sophie was and saw the window wider open which must have been either the wind or pushed open by her, and she must have either jumped or fallen from the roof.

I have 1 little cat and she won't try and chew them or claw them or anything like that to get out, just sits and enjoys the breeze which has been so important at this hot time of the year.
