And there is an unnerving quality about it that leaves you thinking that, just maybe, this crazy world does exist somewhere in some dimension, and that we make wake up some morning and find ourselves in the "Twilight Zone" of Alice's Wonderland. The plot of both stories was also bizarre and all over the place, I struggled to keep up but am still impressed by what I could gather from it. The transitions were much more obvious, every chapter dealt with some sort of social/political/religious topic. Alice participates in a croquet game, in which hedgehogs are used as balls, flamingos are used as mallets, and soldiers act as gates.
