Description
In most cases if businesses change their equipment or move their service to a new provider it will initiate a change however if a business simply ceases (BT’s risk) or the kit is stolen there may be an issue (customers risk). BT owned equipment should be returned and yes BT really should clearly label their kit and their process however they should also ensure that equipment cannot simply be acquired and used on a customers account.
If you don't yet have a base station, follow these steps. If you are adding an additional handset to an existing setup, go to Assembling the Phone. Management Cloud Platform – Yealink Cloud Management Service (YCMS) is revolutionising the way installers deploy their Yealink devices, while increasing the speed at which the devices are provisioned. YMCS is a cloud-based platform, hosted by Yealink and features similar functionality and aesthetics to the YDMP (on premise platform). At its core, the YCMS is designed to provide installers with one simple tool to deploy, manage and monitor multiple Yealink devices. In addition to simplifying and speeding up provisioning, the YMCS uses a powerful dashboard which shows a graphical overview of various factors impacting call quality. Streamline your provisioning with Yealink Cloud management services. This chapter describes how to use a DNS SRV record which specifies the location of the PBXware. NOTE: Your DNS Server needs to be configured correctly for this to work. Bicom Systems can provide service to set up this for you. Ok either your network is more complex then you describe, or you (and your head of IT) are really not understanding how 3CX is architected.. The standard for most firewalls is to deny all new inbound traffic, allow all outbound traffic, and to allow any inbound traffic in response to outbound traffic. Since all the phone and SBC traffic is outbound or inbound in response to outbound traffic you do NOT need any port forwarding, assuming your previous statements are correct. The SBC and the phone should be on the same LAN, thus the firewall should not be seeing any traffic between them, and thus no port forward. And the SBC has nothing listening on port 5001 since that is the web administration port for 3CX which is in GCP according to you. If you do not have a simple network then you need to describe or provide a network diagram. By simple I mean this: Speakerphones – Conference calls are no longer just the domain of boardroom’s with Yealink’s range of speakerphones, designed to provide crystal clear conference calling on the move. Yealink speakerphones are the ideal solution for multi-party calls where infrastructure is limited or there are no fixed boardrooms available. These devices can be used with a wide range of applications and connect simply to your PC/Laptop or mobile device via USB or Bluetooth. Multi-boardroom environments can also save significant costs by simply purchasing a few devices and deploying them on an as needed basis. Join conference calls from anywhere without compromise with Yealink’s speakerphones.Search for an entry by using the keypad to type letters, or press ▲ or ▼ to highlight the desired entry, and then press or to dial out using the default line. I think, therefore, that this "failure" does not matter, but I would be interested to know if this is a correct assumption as it also potentially points to a problem of some kind that could affect the W60 from being unable to register even though the phones in the office work fine.
Note: You can ignore an incoming call by pressing the Silence soft key or reject an incoming call by pressing . The Yealink W60B DECT IP base station supports efficient provisioning and effortless mass deployment with Yealink’s Redirection and Provisioning Service (RPS) and Boot mechanism to help you realize the Zero Touch Provisioning without any complex manual settings, which makes it simple to deploy, easy to maintain and upgrade, saving even more time and IT costs for businesses. Whats in the Box? Yes we don't understand what architecture is required for the SBC. It's not clear to us whether the SBC should be in front of or behind the firewall. Our SBC is on the Phone LAN, our phones all have dynamic IP's between 192.168.200.1-100 and the SBC is on a static 192.168.200.101. I followed through the instructions above. The Base reset Ok, and once the base reset the handset automatically said de-register the handset? on the screen, so i pressed yes. The set of instructions thereafter to deregister the handset therefore could not be followed to de-register the handset as described as it had already de-registered itself and said so. It couldn't therefore do the handset reset. If you need help then our team are available from Monday to Thursday (between 9:00am and 5:30pm GMT) and on Friday (between 9:00am and 4:30pm GMT)Connect the DC plug on the power adapter to the DC port on the phone and connect the other end of the power adapter into an electrical power outlet. The PBX Express install onto GCP actually makes all IPs allowed for INGRES into the PBX via specific ports including 22,443, 5060, 5090 and 9000-10999 etc. the defaults. It seems by having the SBC we have simply just shifted the network admin from GCP to the Office Cisco router, which is more complex and more problematic and expensive to troubleshoot. Those using ATAs/VoIP phones need to be made aware that credentials are vulnerable if equipment is stolen or accessed. I have brought the W60B phone into the office and reset the base and taken the steps above to add the Provisioning URL and provision to do the auto provisioning.
Does anyone have any ideas where to go next with this as I am lost what we are trying to do with the SBC in terms of incoming ports and what to forward to where? Both BT Cloud Voice and BT Cloud Phone portals include facilities to add or delete new devices (licences) and no doubt there is an assumption someone is actively managing them. The issue may arise though on SME with a small number of lines, sending out preconfigured kit and people simply using the pre-setup or express setup. Press , then the LCD screen lights up or place the handset in the charging cradle to turn the handset on. Compact as it is, the Yealink W60B DECT Base works seamlessly with the entire Yealink DECT handset range and repeater. NOTE: Do not unplug or remove power to the phone while it is updating firmware and configurations. ¶ Registering phoneSo we then removed the port forward for 5060 as we want to use the SIP Server for a door entry device as well so basically we want our LAN phones to provision and work using the LAN provisioning/config method and I want the DECT W60B to use the SBC remote provisioning method. Video tutorial explaining Auto Provisioning setup for Yealink Phone on PBXware 5. ¶ Requirements ¶ Identifying phone model Finally you need to create a DECT device entry in 3CX, set it to SBC, fill in the blanks just like the guide describes, and paste the correct URL into the freshly reset base. -> Final goal I must say, not being able to access the cPanel is a bit annoying, as you lose access to certain features – i.e. directory, codec settings, etc. The base station is what is provisioned by 3CX and registers via SIP to 3CX. The handset registers or pairs to the base station via DECT. Then you associate a handset with a line which is one of the SIP accounts provisioned on the base station:
I think we would do better to find a way to put the SBC in the cloud, it's all getting too messy in the office and I think personally all this should be in the cloud. I think you are missing this step in the guide for actually putting the URL into the base station and you're going straight to the part about registering a handset to the base station:NB * the log file is not in the directorty above its in the /var/log/3cxsbc directory not /var/log.
