The Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box stands out as the best choice among the other products for several reasons. Firstly, it offers a versatile cooling and keeping-warm function, allowing you to choose the desired temperature for your items. With a temperature reduction of up to 20°C below ambient and a maximum warm mode of 55°C, it provides powerful performance to keep your food and drinks at the right temperature. We have several dealers throughout Europe and worldwide. Use our store locator to find one nearest you. One notable aspect of this cool box is its cooling and heating capacities, able to maintain temperatures between 15-18°C below ambient temperature for cooling and 50-65°C for heating. The long-lasting brushless motor (30,000 hours) ensures that this electric cool box will continue to perform for years to come. It also features two removable shelves inside so you have plenty of space for anything – from your favorite beer to a good old Cornish pasty!

Having had the pleasure of using the Allied UK 24L Electric Cool Box recently, I must say I was genuinely impressed with its performance. The large 24-litre capacity ensured that I had more than enough room for storing food and drinks during my camping trip, and the hard-wearing plastic construction gave me peace of mind that it would withstand the journey’s harsh conditions. Weight: a cool box for keeping drinks cold in the garden can be weighty, but if you're travelling with it over a short distance, a lighter option with wheels will be better Size and Capacity: Consider how much food and drinks you will need to store and choose a cool box that is the right size for you. It's also a good idea to look for a cool box with a large capacity, as you can always use the extra space to store additional items. Power source: Electric cool boxes that plug into your car's cigarette lighter or have a rechargeable battery can be very convenient, but keep in mind that they will require a power source. The downside to buying online is that you can’t actually get hold of the product to try it out first.I recently had the chance to use the Leisure Direct 32L ThermoElectric Camping Cool Box, and I must say it was a great addition to my camping gear. It has a 32L capacity, which was more than enough for storing my food, drinks and even a couple of 2-litre bottles. It’s relatively lightweight and compact, so I had no issues fitting it into my car for a long journey. Having personally used the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box, I can confidently say that it is a fantastic choice for anyone in need of a versatile and efficient portable cooler for car trips, camping adventures, or picnics. On its warming and cooling capabilities, the lowest the fridge can go is 3°C, while the highest is 65°C. It’s worth mentioning the noise the fridge makes too – it doesn’t! It is almost completely silent which can be a godsend when it’s running in your tent and you’re trying to sleep. Compared with the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box, the Berg 45L Electric Portable Cool/Warm Box offers an even larger capacity of 45 litres, allowing you to store up to 72 standard 330ml cans. This makes it an excellent choice for those who require extra space for their cooling needs. The Berg 45L Cool/Warm Box also provides a cooling capability of 16°C below ambient temperature, which is comparable to the Klarstein model. The electric cool box should be easy to move and carry around, especially if you plan to take it on trips. Look for lightweight designs and comfortable handles or straps. Power Source

The best cool box for camping will depend on your specific needs and preferences. Some factors to consider when choosing a cool box include: Compressor fridge – this is like your electric fridge at home which uses circulating refrigerant inside which expands to provide cooling. They are heavier than thermoelectric fridges and also more noisy because the compressor is a mechanical engine in effect. However, they produce exceptional chilling and can have the temperature adjusted accurately using a thermostat. One of the standout features of this cooler box is its ability to both cool and heat the contents. This made it incredibly versatile, allowing me to use it in any season. When I needed to keep things cool, the thermoelectric feature brought the temperature down to a refreshing 16 degrees Celsius below the surrounding temperature. On the other hand, when I wanted to warm up food or beverages, it could reach up to 60 degrees Celsius. We were impressed that it can also heat the contents up to ~65°C. Obviously this isn’t hot enough to actually cook food, but it means you can keep your fish and chips warm if you’re busy – watch out for bacteria though – the heating should just be for short blasts after you’ve actually cooked the food. Think of it as maintaining temperature rather than reheating. It can be powered either by a 220V mains outlet or a 12V vehicle cigarette lighter, providing flexibility in various settings. While the Leisure Direct 32L Cool Box does not mention a specific heating capability, it offers a practical solution for keeping your items cool on the go. If you are looking for a slightly smaller capacity and a portable cool box with versatile power options, the Leisure Direct 32L Camping Cool Box is a viable alternative to the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box.There’s so much information available online when we’re shopping now, that it’s easy to find lots of detail about products like Hi-Gear 45-Litre 12V 240V Cooler. This is of course really helpful, but there’s almost too much information available, so it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for. Capacity: how many people will you be catering for? The size of cool bags are often described in litres rather than people, but as a rule of thumb, 18 litres will carry between 25-28 cans, 30 litres will fit around 50, and anything above this will be large enough for a variety of food and drink vessels The sturdy and robust design of the cool box ensures durability, while still being lightweight and easy to carry. With cup holders on top for added convenience, this box is designed with user-friendliness in mind. The removable inside divider allows you to separate items and organise your box according to your needs. The advantage of a compressor fridge (i.e. like one you would use at home in your kitchen) is the speed, controllability and power of the cooling on offer. With the Eco Deep Extreme, you can lower the internal temperature from 25°C to 0°C in just 19 minutes which is exceptional. As mentioned previously, you can then disconnect the power so that the insulation is put to work and your food can remains frozen for several hours without using any more juice. One other great feature of the cool box is how it manages to protect the car’s battery from completely running out of juice; it stops drawing current if it senses that your car battery is about to go kaput! Handy when you’re wild camping miles from anywhere. Another factor that can be a great indication of product quality is the brand. Brands like Hi-Gear are of course extremely well known, especially for Plug-In.

Compared with the Klarstein BeerBelly 29 Electric Cool Box, the Netagon 24L Electric Cooler Box offers a smaller capacity of 24 litres, making it suitable for those with more compact cooling needs. The Netagon cooler box provides a cooling capability of up to 16°C below ambient temperature, which is similar to the Klarstein model. It also offers a heating capability of up to 60°C, ensuring versatility for keeping food warm. That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from Hi-Gear so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at Hi-Gear branded products within the Plug-In category. There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. The material the product is made from is often a sign of the quality for Plug-In. Take a look at the product details over at Go Outdoors to get a feel for this. The size of the electric cool box, measured in litres, should be suitable for the amount of goods you plan to store and transport. As a rule of thumb, look for a unit that can accommodate the supplies needed for the duration of your intended trips. Furthermore, consider the different types of power sources available – 12V DC (car cigarette lighter), 230V AC (mains electricity), or both. Depending on your planned usage, having a versatile power source can make all the difference.
