Description

While dozing in a chair in the garden, Mr Lazy is wakened by two humans, Mr Busy note not the title character of a later Mr. Men book and Mr Bustle, who subject him to a gruelling routine of housework and a very long walk, and then a run. When one of the men blows a whistle to make him start running, the whistle turns out to be the whistling kettle boiling in the kitchen (which takes two hours in Sleepyland). It had all been a terrible dream! When Mr Lazy then falls asleep (yet again) when he sits down for his breakfast, we are left with an ambiguous ending. An unidentified voice says "Wake up, Mr Lazy! WAKEUPWAKEUPWAKEUP!" Is this another instance of Or Was It a Dream?, or is Mr Lazy simply repeating the dream he had before? Mr. Scatterbrain's friends turn the cinema into a zoo; Mr. Rude is swept off his feet while working at the take away stand and Mr. Bump and Little Miss Sunshine make their screen debuts. Mr. Fussy and Mr. Stubborn's Plot: Mr. Stubborn takes Mr. Fussy for a picnic on the beach in a dangerous storm. Mr. Stubborn and Mr. Fussy argue about how bad the storm is. In the end, Mr. Stubborn says that he isn't sharing his egg salad sandwich to a whale.

Lions and Tigers and Humans... Oh, My!: The characters who appear to be simple shapes with human figures regularly interact with regular-looking humans.Interactive Narrator: In the 1983 adaptation of Little Miss Plump, she briefly interacts with the narrator by telling him it's easy to say "Sixty six succulent sizzling sausages". Trailer plot: An advertisement for "Gamma Goo from Planet 9" (with Mr. Bounce as the announcer) is seen as Mr. Bump as Raphe Daniels must help Miss Sunshine as Victoria Well-Beloved stop the goo made by Miss Scary as Dementicon. Mr. Chatterbox is cured of his Motor Mouth tendencies by a magic hat that grows until it completely covers him every time he starts talking. Halfway Plot Switch: Dr. Eighth starts with him rescuing the human crew of a spaceship about to self-destruct, after failing to talk its computer into not blowing it up. He lands the TARDIS on an Earth beach to let them out, whereupon he stumbles into a conflict between the Silurians and Sea Devils that takes up the remainder of the book. To be fair, Dr. Eighth has only two televised stories, one of which is a short, so the author had to come up with a near-wholecloth storyline for him. Next month sees the release of the next four titles in the Dr. Men book range, celebrating two of the world’s most iconic franchises, Doctor Who and Mr. Men.

Boo-Boos (known as Doctors and Nurses in the UK and Hospitals in Australia) is the second episode of the first season in The Mr. Men Show. The episode shows the Mr. Men and Little Misses at a hospital. Men Are Generic, Women Are Special: Despite the substantial amount of Little Miss characters, the series is named solely after the men. While the aliens retain their US voices, another voice was dubbed on top of them in the UK dub for unknown reasons. This hairy beast is not as cute as it might appear! In actual fact, however, in Doctor Who the Yeti were robots created by The Great Intelligence in the Second Doctor era (The Great Intelligence would go on to return and face the Eleventh Doctor and Clara in Series Seven). Appearing in 1930s Tibet and then in the Underground in Sixties London, the Yeti are a fearsome foe whose war cry sounds not unlike a very slow toilet flush. A Yeti also made a brief cameo in 20th Anniversary Special, The Five Doctors, but it’s unclear if this was real or robot… Read more here. Must Watch Stories: Magnocavallo, Fabio (30 April 2019). "The Spice Girls Launch Their Own Children's Reading Books With Mr. Men And Little Miss". Inquisitr. Archived from the original on 19 February 2021 . Retrieved 17 July 2019.

Classic creatures the Silurians were here long before the human race and didn’t look too kindly upon our kind. The Third Doctor sympathised with their cause when we first met them in 1970. In the Eighties, they teamed up with the Sea Devils for the Fifth Doctor tale, Warriors From the Deep. In recent times, the Eleventh Doctor befriended Silurian Madame Vastra who described herself as a “lizard from the dawn of time”! She, with her wife Jenny and the Sontaran Strax shared numerous adventures with that particular regeneration and one with his successor, the Twelfth Doctor. Read more here. Must Watch Stories: Mr. Bump turned the corner. CRASH went the living room window. "Oh dear," he said, and turned to see what had happened. CRASH went the kitchen window. "Oh dear," he said, and he rested the ladder against the side of the house, so that he could climb up. CRASH went the bedroom window!

Bugs: Little Miss Whoops and her ant farm cause trouble. Meanwhile, Little Miss Naughty is doing well with her bug business, and Mr Stubborn denies he has an insect infestation. (S1 Ep 32)[S] Gentle Giant: Mr. Tall is very sensitive and self-conscious about his height, and has to be convinced by the other Mr. Men that his long legs are an advantage.Real Men Wear Pink: Or rather, are pink in the case of Doctors Third and Sixth. The former's dark magenta and the latter's a brighter pink; in both cases, these are reflections of their TV counterparts' costumes (the latter's being infamously garish).
