Just go download the latest version directly from XP-Pen’s site and remove all other tablet drivers you have on your computer before installing it.I also find it easier to accept a display tablet with less shortcut buttons than a pen tablet because, quite frankly, there are not very many with more than 8 buttons+wheel. On the XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro, the cable is just a straight cable, not an L-shaped cable, meaning that it doesn’t take advantage of the multi-direction feature of USB type-C. another note, some other things I’ve noticed are that the feeling of the screen is really nice as you draw. Hola, estoy por comprarme una de esas dos, ¿pero si es recomendable gastar un poco más por la de 13.

A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience. Other Tips: After connecting all the cables in the correct places, please wait about 30s~1min to make the USB Hardware driver loaded successfully. If you are worried about whether this tablet will work with your art program, don’t be afraid to contact support to ask them directly.

XP-PEN graphics tablets make your education journey much smoother and easier, and your education broadcasting more intuitive and attractive. In terms of animation scrubbing, I have never considered the differences in usage of the touch bar vs the dial when it comes to animation because I do not do animation myself, but that is certainly a use case where the dial seems much more natural to use than a touch bar. Please note, as you can see from my review drawing, I was most certainly able to draw with this amount of inaccuracy, but like I mention in my review, it was difficult doing smaller details because the cursor was not following the pen pixel-by-pixel.

If it is between those two tablets, I would recommend the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 because, as you said, I prefer the nicer quality of the Huion Kamvas Pro tablets, and because I find the pen tapering issue of XP-Pen’s drivers to be a rather large hindrance for how I draw. Fortunately, this is not an issue that you often notice while drawing on the tablet, and most of the time you are not moving fast enough to cause this issue to appear in your longer strokes. Almost all the lines begin right on the start line meaning it has extremely low IAF, and the lines are almost transparent showing that the tablet is capable of drawing extremely light pen pressures.Compared to the Artist 12, the Artist 12 Pro features 8 fully customizable shortcut keys and puts more customization options at your fingertips! Before I continue, apologies I couldn’t take actual photos of the tablet because 1) I don’t have a physical workspace (aka table), just worked on my bed and 2) I only thought of doing this review after I finished my work. If the line begins right on the start line, this indicates that the IAF is extremely low (low IAF is best) and the line just appears naturally without effort. I understand how you like Huion Kamvas lineup more than XP-Pen artist on your experience for nice quality, though I personally prefer dial not just for brush size, rotation and zoom, but also used for animation scrubber using , and . Another difference is that the XP-Pen Star 03 V2 has shortcut buttons which feel quite a bit cheaper than the Huion H610Pro V2 shortcut buttons.

With that said, it’s better than having no stand and it will do in a pinch by propping it up with other things like textbooks to get a better angle. I have know about the texture and whether one is smooth or textured isn’t a problem since I’m gonna used to it later, and I have known the pen on XP Pen Star 03 isn’t bad since it have Bulge, even though Huion H610pro V2 now use the Comfortable PW100 pen. One reason is because I find that I need much more than 12 shortcut keys to work without too many interruptions from lacking a shortcut I need (or 11 shortcut keys and a slider/dial), and all their smaller pen displays do not have that many. This is meant to show that it’s certainly a noticeable issue, but the tablet is still usable and should not be counted out completely.Once you’ve installed the driver and plugged in your tablet, the XP-Pen driver icon should appear in the system tray in the bottom right.
