About this deal

A small niggle is that the books do at times strike the tone, just a touch, of left-leaning political content and green/environmental nonsense, but if you can look past this than the whole series is a really great read. The latest thrilling instalment of the Adventures on Trains series finds Hal and Uncle Nat on the night train to the Arctic Circle - with a sinister figure pursuing the stunning locomotive. I enjoy the relationship between Hal and his Uncle and this time Hal's mum is in the story which adds another dimension to the family relationships.

A thrilling and hugely entertaining adventure story' – David Walliams on The Highland Falcon Thief, the first journey in the series. Uncle Nat is taking Hal on the train from Sweden to the Aurora Sky Station, Abisko, Finland to see the Northern Lights.Im actually really sad that there will be no more in the series as I could go on reading them forever! Harrison and his Uncle Nat go on a train holiday together, in this case to see the Northern Lights, and they end up embroiled in a mystery involving the train passengers that’s to be solved. The Arctic Railway Assassin can be read as a stand-alone novel, or enjoyed as part of the Adventures on Trains series. It’s at that point that Hal notices Katerina, who helps Hal as the danger becomes life- threatening aboard the Narvik train to the North Pole.

It’s evident to Hal, who is an expert analyst and chronicler of people, that Uncle Nat is deeply wound up, when the pair are reunited. She now lives and works in UK as a freelance Illustrator and Creative Designer, accompanied by her beloved pets. I was lucky enough to see a story that Sam Sedgman put up saying that the book was on Netgalley and even luckier to be accepted by Macmillan publishing to read early so I can review! This time it is not one but 2 deadly assassins and they are caight in the crossfire on the train to the Arctic to see the northern lights.

They are travelling to the Aurora Sky Station in the Arctic circle, to see the Northern Lights for Christmas.

Like usual you suspect the wrong people at first, and I was convinced that some things that were important to the plot were totally irrelevant. There are several book sets that he has enjoyed in the past like the Elementia series and the Dave the Villager books.

I have heard a rumour that this is the last book, and I can see why that rumour is going round after reading the book, but I hope there will be more books! But Hal is worried about the Yorkshire Gold Tea in his rucksack as requested by Uncle Nat, he only requests it when he's worried about something!
