I really hope we continue to see more Lord of the Rings Brickheadz – it would be silly, if LEGO did not commit to eventually releasing the entire Fellowship in Brickheadz form. Frodo is acceptable, Gollum is much too simplified to be credible, but the box is pretty and that's the main thing for many collectors. This Balrog Brickheadz is HUGE, thanks to its wingspan and height, and really nails the “flame and shadow” look.

Very true to the Brickheadz concept with some great custom prints and really nice shaping (especially on the beards). for 6 brickheads is too much, but hopefully if we support this wave of sets it sends a message that this theme is much missed. Aragorn’s journey from a mysterious ranger to the King of Gondor takes place across the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

These buildable display models make a great gift for The Lord of the Rings fans, LEGO builders and LEGO BrickHeadz collectors. I just love how comical it looks, and really interjects the Brickheadz’ design with some cutesy fun. That’s not to say BrickHeadz characters are hard to build, but rather you might find something that could keep your interest.

Out of all 3, the best double pack is undoubtedly 40631 Gandalf and Balrog, with 2 superb designs included, that don’t feel like any compromises were made. Recreate iconic details of the wizard Gandalf the Grey and the flaming beast Balrog and display the buildable figures with pride.
