I'm usually not the biggest fan of floral fragrances, but this one is delicate and unpretentious and very likable. One of my greatest friends bought this for me many moons back, and we shall love her eternally for it (seriously, she shall be named a saint one day).

The perfume itself is quite lovely - floral, obviously, but with fruity and woody nuances that serve to enhance the florals. I never, in all these years, gave this a try because of the bottle, which reminds me of a cheap gerbera in an Ikea vase.I hated it even more because she also made me wear it sometimes because I had no perfume of my own, and I would have that smell that made my head hurt for hours. This is something I would wear in the medical profession, or as a beauty professional working counters and applying makeup. Kenzo Flower (2000) was the final nail in the coffin when it comes to my personal disdain for violet, iris, rose, and other powdery florals. It is powdery, yes, but this one doesn't smell like a make up or baby powder, it has sweet vanilla and a bit of incense scent underneath that make it not boring. Transitioning into the heart of the fragrance, there is a captivating balance of opoponax, jasmine, and the nostalgic allure of Parma violet.

The scent ends with the addition of vanilla, incense, and musk, adding depth to the powdery and balsamic composition. Enveloping White Musks and Vanilla, Pink Pepper and Damascena Rose embody the sensuality of this feminine fragrance that has become an emblem in the world of perfume-making. Anyway, this smells just like what I was hoping Miss Guerlain Rose nRoses would smell like, only with more longevity (by far). An unusual riff on a powdery floral that features violet prominently, Flower is a pretty decent, creative floral scent, ideal for transeasonal daytime wear.KENZO stands with her for a common goal: to promote slow, low-impact flower farming and “make ecology irresistible”!

EDIT: Maybe it's because I'm now testing Flower in cold weather, but I've been enjoying it much more lately than I originally did. Saffron, the precious ingredient in this new perfume for women, blends with a bouquet of Orange Blossom and Damascena Rose Absolute.Presented in a chic and understated bottle, Flower by Kenzo isn’t just a fragrance; it’s a symbol and signature of the Kenzo brand. It is great for daytime during Spring, Autumn and Winter; Summer perhaps, if it's not too hot, up to 25°C max , otherwise it could be cloying. The top notes open with a bright, juicy wave of blackcurrant and mandarin orange, while a delicate hint of Bulgarian rose adds a luxurious depth.

I would of never tried this fragrance as i didnt think id like a powdery note and wasnt familiar with Hawthorne which is also a prominant note. e. transparent spirit, as in "vodka" or "pálinka"); pink would mean 'beer', and red unfolding petals would mean 'wine'. I like the way that the notes surrounding such a prominent violet give way to a very delicate, airy and fresh powder rather than a dank soapy aldehydic powder associated with a more mature scent profile. I don’t know if it’s me, or perhaps something Australia related, or perhaps costs have been cut, but this perfume does not smell the same as it used to. Opening of baby bubblebath, palma violets and icing sugar which, despite its innocence, somehow lends itself to being a reasonably sophisticated womanly scent.Beautiful modern powdery fragrance with a drop of vintage, it smells like incense and white flowers.
