It is easy to read and understand and nicely formatted to make the many approaches she suggests palatable. She also gives some tips on generalising the control unleashed games, as well as combining games to reduce stress, and using them to deal with real life.

I haven't yet reached the end, but the the advice and training exercises so far are having a good effect, and I'm very pleased.The new concepts and techniques will support you in teaching your dog life skills and coping skills so that he is comfortable in the world, building relationships, empowering your dog, and creating a two-way system of communication between you and your dog. So, finding this program helped me see how to help my reactive dog and owner read, communicate, and bond better, so trust could surface.

I love this book so much, it's changing how I relate to my dogs and I think it's going to overall improve their wellbeing so much. McDevitt then moves on detail why sniffing is not a crime, as well as how to teach the dog to think through his arousal using the Off Switch game. I also wish it would get going faster, there's lots of talk about the author's ideas being great and working well but you keep thinking yes, where are the ideas.Underlying this expectation is the notion that the owner must be more interesting than anything else in the dog’s environment.
