I'm actually shocked he was able to do all the things he did so long and nobody took him out way before, by all accounts Middlesbrough had some tough blokes around. I do think Jamie seems a cool bloke and yes he is obsessed with Duffy and does glamorize him and make excuses for his often disgusting bullying behaviour, in fairness duffy is a fascinating character who's legacy has been built up probly way more than it deserves, I'd say he got beat many of times in a fair fight that we haven't heard of, but there is no doubt he was an absolute lunatic, the whole bullying thing is a cop out and all nonsense in my opinion, he had something wrong with him and by all accounts just thrived on violence and carnage he just loved hurting people to gain his reputation and install fear in everyone. Teeside drugs enforcer Lee Duffy had half his foot shot off in an assassination attempt and his skull beaten with a crowbar, yet his streetwise instinct remained unmatched.

Viv Graham and Lee Duffy led parallel lives as pub and club enforcers, raging their gangland turf wars with a fierce frenzy of brutality and unremitting cruelty. Lee Duffy was a well-known boxer and bouncer from South Bank in Middlesbrough who was feared by many people on Teesside throughout the 1980s before his death in 1991. Make no mistake, this will be the definitive book on Lee Duffy, there will be no more 'ifs' and 'buts after its release. From the author of the best selling Paul Sykes books ’Unfinished Agony’ and ‘Further Agony’ Jamie Boyle.By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. I know that this book will get a mixed reaction but to this day he is still talked about”, Jamie added.

Anyone around in the time of Lee Duffy will have certainly heard of him, there's plenty documented about one side of him that I don't need to go into here, but this book reveals so much more about the man as a whole. Some hate him and say he was an absolute monster, others have cried in front of me and said they still miss him so much, that he had a good heart and was so caring. Prior to Lee Duffy’s death at the age of 26 he had survived three alleged attempts on his life; having been shot twice and once having had petrol poured over him.No inscription, small neat annotations to title page and page 342, sound tight binding, pages clean and bright, gentle rubs to fore-edge corners. Featuring well known stories that have since become legend across Middlesbrough as well as tales never heard before, the book paints a picture of two men who started out as enemies, and became the best of friends.
