Rauzon said he is happy to report that there is a younger generation who has the capacity and the expertise to go forward with his work. He said he can’t save the planet, but perhaps he has educated and inspired someone who can. I loved this book. A man that has rose to success becoming a billionaire is tired of women wanting to be with him only for his money moves into the basement of his grandmother's home. Hang on.” I lift the box. “You might want these, too,” I tell them. “Family invitations to your ring night. They won’t go out until the end of the week, but you can take some early so they don’t run out on you.”

I try to focus on the choir as I walk. The clear, high harmonies sound pretty and light. One of those voices is Laney’s. Jenna and I are walking closer. I reach into my purse and feel for my hair clip at the bottom. I pull it out and hold it at my side, turning it over in my fingers. Gran shakes the banana at the television as Captain Benson interrogates the wrong man. “Stupid, stupid!” she says.Bianca’s starting a new job in an office,” I say, at the commercial break. There’s no use trying to talk to Gran during the program. “She sent me a note. No more retail.” I’m glad for Mom. It’s hard to stand all day long. Why can’t they give employees a stool? Why should salespeople have to stand to fold clothes, or when there aren’t any customers? I’ll never understand. Jake's grandmother thinks her grandson needs a wife and family. She doesn't want him to be alone after she leaves this world. So she blind sides him and signs him up to be a bachelor on a dating game. What!?! He really can't tell his grandmother no, now can he? ILaney is a law student who lives with Tony her best friend. They live next door to Mrs Mallory a nice old lady. Both Mrs Mallory and Tony have been trying to get Laney to date more. On the first night of the game show Jake meets the women who are competing for his attention and love. When Laney steps out at the top of the stairs, he stares straight into her soul. He is captivated. No other girl has caught his attention like she has. He wants her and only her. But the producer of the show has other plans for him and Laney is not it. With his future already in place by the producer, he is destined to lose. The producer throws all the obstacles she can at him. Can he find true love? Or is he destined to follow the plan laid out before him? Right now, Laney Villanueva is at dance rehearsal, and Nico Fiore is at soccer practice. They’ll meet up afterward at the edge of the soccer field. They’ll hug. She’ll be sweatier than him, but he’ll smell worse. Neither will mind.

Sydney Bergen belongs on the Disney channel. She wrings her hands when she’s excited, and she only talks about one thing: horse camp. She goes on and on about blue ribbons, monster-size flies, horses named Warhol and Van Gogh whose tails are dyed with hot-pink and purple food coloring. There’s one cute counselor who’s a Junior Olympics bronze medalist. Every summer the challenge is, who will catch his eye this year? Cue Sydney’s Disney show theme song, with a neighhhh at the end. Poppy scratches his head, searching for something or other behind him. His eyeglasses slide down his nose. This is my favorite so far from Summer Cooper about a billionaire, Jake, who goes on a dating reality show because his grandma signed him up for it. There he meets Laney and is smitten at first sight, he knows who he wants to choose but the people behind the cameras have other plans. Laney gets coerced into going on the show by her b.f. and is actually happy about when she sees Jake and just like him she’s smitten at first sight, but also has to deal with the people behind the cameras not wanting them together.

This leads the grandmother and the best friend to conspire unbeknownst to the billionaire and the young girl by getting them signed up on reality t.v. dating show. Three eligible men. One a plumber, one a teacher and one a billionaire. Enter twelve women. These women are to compete while trying to decipher who is the billionaire until there are three remaining. They are chosen by the men on who will stay and who will go which becomes a struggle against a bitchy female producer that wants the female lead character off the show immediately.

After years of travel, Rauzon clearly has found his permanent roost at Laney. As a teacher of geography, he is an optimistic activist, grateful for the opportunity to educate the next generation, encourage their curiosity and critical thinking, and help them bear witness to the environmental changes so they might do something about it. We’re terrible drivers,” Nico says, looking sweetly at Laney, as if he’s proud of how terrible they are. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is about a woman whose friend sets her up to go on a reality show where one of the men is rich and the other two are not. No one is supposed to know who the rich one is until the show is ending. Little does Laney know, but a neighbor has also set up her grandson to be on the same show. It is all a way to get the two together as they both have been adverse to finding a significant other. Laney is busy in law school and Jake doesn't come around to visit his grandmother very often because he is busy with his business. When his fame forces him to "hide out" for a while, he comes to live in her basement, but Laney never sees him from the front and so doesn't know him. Jenna and I saw Angela Fortunato and the rest of the theater crowd there. They kept bursting into songs from Broadway musicals that I didn’t know. It was annoying and geeky, but it made me feel uncultured, so I promised myself I’d try to learn some musicals. I guess I got distracted and forgot. What gave more points in my review was the ending. Oh, how I despised Arabella. I wanted to tear her hair out and... *deep breathing* No violence.Date the Billionaire is a standalone romance novella that is chalked full of entertainment. You’ll especially like the final ceremony...someone gets what they deserve! I give your mother six months at that job. Six months,” Gran says with her mouth full. She doesn’t want me to get my hopes up. But Gran doesn’t know. Things could be different this time. Things are already different. This school year actually is “off to a good start.” Laney is an independent down to earth law student. Jake is a Billionaire computer geek, who is tired of people only wanting him for his money, especially women. Jake’s Gran and Laney’s BFF/roommate Tony are neighbors who decided that Jake and Laney were perfect for each other. They set them up by signing them up for a Dating Reality Television Show called “Dream Matchmakers”. There were some very funny side characters, like Jake's gran and Laney's gay BFF Tony. I think they made the story even more entertaining to read. This is a frustrating story-telling dynamic, depending as it does on repetition, of the same scenes playing out over and over again. The frustration serves a purpose, ultimately, as does the repetition, although it takes some patience to endure. May goes to people for help. They all treat her like she's over-reacting, but there's something else underneath their behavior. They act like they have a secret, the key to the puzzle, and they look on May's flailing about to make sense of it with a condescending pity. Poor May, she's the last to know what's really going on.
