About this deal

I'll be testing DeepCool’s LS520 with Intel's i9-12900K. Due to the increased thermal density of the Intel 7 manufacturing process, as well as changes to core and component layouts, Alder Lake CPUs are more difficult to cool than previous generation CPUs in the most heat-intensive of workloads. Oct 18th 2023 Lian Li Introduces Premium CPU Coolers Powered by Asetek's Most Advanced Liquid Cooling Technology to Date (4) You Require Low Noise: It has a fairly high overall noise output, so may not be suitable for users prioritizing a quieter system. Unauthorized repairs to a DeepCool product will void the coverage offered by the warranty policy. DeepCool reserves the right to refuse to service any product which has been altered, modified or repaired by non-DeepCool service personnel. With a total system noise level of 43.4 dBA, the LT520’s noise levels aren’t quite what I would consider “silent”, but it doesn’t run loud in any sense of the word at all. Conclusion

In addition to testing Cinebench without power limits enforced, we’ll also be showing results when the CPU’s power consumption is limited to a more reasonable 200W. We’ll also show results at 125W for those who prefer whisper-quiet cooling, at the cost of some performance. For both of these results, we’ll show traditional delta over ambient temperature results. Tier 3: These coolers are able to keep the i9-12900K under TJ max with CPU power limits of 140W enforced. Testing MethodologyWhen restricted to 200W, the LT720 kept Intel’s i9-13900K CPU at 52c over the ambient room temperature. This is a better thermal result than you’ll see from any air cooler, and it is in line with most liquid coolers on the market that I’ve tested – where I’ve seen a range of 49-52C over ambient. Given the very similar results in liquid coolers here, I’ll likely add 250W testing in the future to better show the performance differences of liquid coolers. There is no dedicated A-RGB controller provided with the cooler. There is no hub provided with the cooler either. The terminal connectors are 4-pin PWM and 3-pin, 5V, and A-RGB ones. The A-RGB lighting is compatible with:

The included DeepCool FK120 Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) PWM fans are that are returned and balanced to perfection for both performance and operational efficiency. The sturdy frame and fluid dynamic bearings offer stable and long-term reliability. The FK120 fans included feature a dynamic PWM range than their retail counterparts. The Fluid Dynamic Bearing design provides dynamic PWM range, supreme airflow, near silent operation at ≤32.9 dB(A) full load noise, and 50,000 hours of long operational lifespan. DeepCool has certainly been on a bit of a busy release streak recently when it has come to brand-new cooling products. In terms of air coolers, we’ve seen models such as the AK400 ( review link here) and the AK500 ( review link here) which both impressed us massively! – This time around, however, it’s time to take something of a technological upgrade as we take a closer look at the newly released LT520 AIO liquid cooler! DeepCool LT520 AIO Liquid Cooler We are thankful to DeepCool for providing the testing unit. Awards Received By The Deepcool LT520 Cooler will be more powerful than previous generations through the use of high-performance efficient cores.

DeepCool does not warrant that this product will meet customer's requirements. It is customer's responsibility to determine the suitability of this product. The 240mm liquid cooler comes in a box that uses molded cardboard, foam, and plastic for the protection of the inner contents. In terms of total wattage this liquid cooler can handle, DeepCool’s LT520 shows the strength of their 4th generation pump design – handling 288W (on average) during the course of the Cinebench testing. This is similar performance to BeQuiet’s and Enermax’ offerings of this size class, and even 360mm models from Arctic & MSI that I’ve tested on Tom’s Hardware ( see results here).
