For all of the gentlemen who love and choose Gucci, the woody aromatic Guilty Pour Homme is presented to the market in 2011 as an aromatic companion of popular female edition Gucci Guilty from 2010. I was reading a magazine and caught a whiff of something incredible. It was a test strip for Gucci Guilty. I got tons of patchouli, incense, and jasmine from the test strip. I was loving it, excited to find something that smelled like my bath routine-- Neutrogena rain bath, a layer of nag champa lotion, followed with jasmine body oil and a dab of Matchabelli Skin Musk (oil). Most perfumes I own are more vintage in their profiles so I was pumped to find a perfume that wouldn't be redundant AND hit some great notes for me. Three stages are... unusual fresh, seaside floral opening, into a heart that is almost a scrubber, it's that bad. Let me just say that this could be a taste thing on my part but I found it really sour and unpleasant combination. Then when nearly dead and settled right the way down comes a woody, synthetic aroma chemical heaven of timbersilk, clearwood, synth ambers? and like that.....all is well. My one caveat is some of these sample bottles are dauber, open types, not sprays. And sometimes it seems to me, when you put a fragrance on that way, straight from the bottle, you miss notes. I don’t know if the scent molecules can settle, or if when they are decanted something is missing. It seems to happen more with this type. Or, maybe it’s my imagination.

This actually smells nice and … light? airy??.. I remember my first thought was “ Guilty? How exactly?!” I needed a bit of time to make sense of it, to put it in a category but I just couldn’t… I got this as a gift. I must admit I was reluctant to put this on reading the name. I expected something super punchy in your face, full of patchouli and dirt, sweat etc. So I went online to read the notes. The notes made me feel a bit more assured that this won’t be the case but I was still nervous to try this on because of the pink pepper. I was sure I’d get a headache or that I’ll want to immediately scrub this off when I tried it on my skin…but…wait a minute…I don't think this smells generic. Bleu De Chanel has become the Generic smelling cologne for me because there are so many that smell like it, Jimmy Choo, Acqua Essenziale, Sauvage etc. This one doesn't smell like Bleu De Chanel, so cross that "generic" description off the list. It smells really good, like almost fruity, but sexy. I have a yuuuge collection and I don't have anything that smells as close to this as all the previously mentioned one's smell to Bleu De Chanel. Seriously, this is a unique fragrance, unless you are comparing it to Gucci Guilty Intense which is supposed to smell like it. This stuff smells good, maybe familiar, but it is original. Guilty Pour Homme is carefully designed for men who know what they want and who get what they want. The charismatic alpha male, a true magnet for ladies, is represented in this provocative and seductive composition. The fragrance opens with lavender and lemon, leaving enough space for very appealing scents of orange blossom. Basic tones are supported by warm woody accords of cedar and patchouli, offering a firm but exciting and soft coloring to the whole composition. WOW RATING: 7/10. A pleasant, mostly citrusy, and white floral fragrance. Very good but not impressive. I initially added this during the summer months and it was just a "like" for me. In fall, I'm re-evaluating and rotating in some fragrances specifically for fall vibes. Because I lean so hard into Bergamot and citrus notes, it's harder for me to find heavier, fall-like scents I like on my body. I also HATE vanilla and dislike most powdery and ozonic notes on my skin as they dry down.

OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, gym, office, business, casual, holidays, vacations, romantic, dating. This is an office-friendly fragrance. I will say that there is some kind of creaminess about this scent that totally turns me off. It's most notable in the first 5 minutes. it's like a juniper/sandalwood mixture which triggers a nauseating response for me. Again, it doesn't last long - but it's definitely there. As time goes by,a bit creamy woody accord with dominant cedar comes into the game with a wisper of patchouli and with a hint of amber. The bottle is crafted of cold metal and heavy glass, making an impression of masculinity and luxury. Paired with the feminine edition, all splendid and golden, cabochon grey male bottle seems very elegant and alluring. The middle of the bottle is decorated with a metallic Gucci sign, transparent to reveal the fragrant fluid. Apparently, this was not run for very long. I get real curious when a fragrance is met with 'we don't get it' . Dump it, 'it aint sellin'. I just have to move in for the sniff. I like prospecting. I'm getting real good at it, but had to waste some money at first.I never saw the commercial for this fragrance, I guess because I almost never watch TV. So, the whole story about heavy marketing for this fragrance didn't have any influence on me.

Guilty is a pleasant, clean, safe and likeable scent. However, if you don't like lavender or if you prefer strong fragrances, this is not for you. Heavy florals. Dark, floral, sweet, feels vaguely Gothic. An evolution of the original Guilty, if they called it Gucci Guilty Noir it would have made sense. Feels like a bouquet doused with labdanum being shoved in my face. Longevity is good, easy 8 to 10 hours for me. Projection is restrained which is how I prefer my frags but that might be a minus for others. Surprisingly formal and reserved, wearing this to work with no issues. I don't think this will work in temps above 70 though due to how floral and sweet it is. The opening sets somewhat of a stylish, mature tone, from which the woods (cypress and juniper) begin to step out onto the front-line. This presence increases the mature tone a lot, but the aroma retains this cool and composed oversoul to it.At the time it had been two consecutive days and I had worn nothing but Gucci Guilty Cologne trying to understand it, but also enjoying it. Performance is quite strong for a cologne even an edt but stable. It is clean and soft, like fabric softener and baby-powder in the air but contrasted by the facets of creaminess, fizziness and the sparkle of shaving cream like an ultra-modern fougère. The scent profile humors me. It is humbling expressing humility by displaying an infant-like cleanliness but then it is rounded and matured by a cleanliness that is also of a grown man clean shaven. I have stopped wearing it to understand it because not understanding it is why I love it. Gucci Guilty Cologne is Olfactory art. It is a statement. It has told me, "shut-up, stop overthinking and just wear me" reminding me of the basic function of a perfume, and I have submitted to its commands. It has restarted everything for me and told me it is as much functional as it is art. I needed Gucci Guilty Cologne to remind me that perfume is equally an art as it is functional. I find it calming and addicting and it has become one of my favorite signatures to reach for this spring and summer. I look forward to also wearing it this fall and winter. Unique, avant-garde, but ultra-modern and clean. A misunderstood masterpiece in my opinion. Projection is down as expected, and longevity is up. The base notes are the strongest here as expected again, so the opening isn’t meant to be super sharp or bright and attention grabbing, it’s all about the long game here… in that regard, this scent serves as an excellent foundation for layering as well. I don't really smell the notes listed here. It's fresh and aromatic, somewhat woody, and dries down to a very absent and fleeting smell. Completely different from the top. After an hour all I get is very very light woods. gucci guilty line is not the best in the history of fragrances, but not the worst for sure. this gucci guilty is a very good eau de toilette, not unique or masterpiece but a solid, safe product. the opening is very fresh and pleasant, an invitation to smelling. then the scent remains the same, maybe someone can say it is boring but there are many fragrances that after a great opening lost many points during the drydown. very good in spring/summer, good longevity and projection. u can wear it for dates or for office very easily. but u know, for we men the best judges are always the women, so if u want to buy this bring a girl with u and ask an opinion to her. i can recommend this fragrance, i cant say the same to the other guilty scents, the absolute version is something weird...grazie per l'attenzione carissimi!!

Performance is hard to guage. Projection is good and lasts on the skin (the base notes) for a good few hours.I do not get any incense or scratchy chemical notes like I do from BdC or AdG Profumo. This is way more smooth and much more pleasing to me. If I didn't discover BDC EDP in my journey this would have easily become my Spring office scent. I'm tempted to make this winter office but it doesn't have enough winter season vibes. I have Sauvage EDP for that with the nutmeg. Gucci had really turned a corner injecting life into this Guilty line with the divisive release Guilty Absolute (Men's one) which people either found to be a blissfully animalic leather or an inept, antiseptic, nightmare. Stranger still that it had come from the nose of Alberto Morillas, and this one does too, with the use of a note/accord seldom found in men's designer perfumes and that's Heliotrope. All this sets us up for an interesting fragrance and cologne is not without that merit let's just let it have this credit, before I rip it to shreds!
