About this deal
It’s worth noting that, although this particular reviewer has an abnormally large head and often pushes headphone bands to their limit, the Sony WH-CH510 only got about halfway extended before sitting comfortably on both ears.

We’re not going to comment on things like the highest of the highs because it’s so fit-dependent, and that’s a drawback that’s really tough to make definitive statements on. Our expert listening panel and lab professionals assess how well the headphones prevent sound leaking out to their surroundings. headphone port and lack of audio over USB means you’ll be out of luck if you do run out of batteries on the go, but the impressive battery life and affordability this presumably allows for makes up for it.
It’s more comfortable than many cheaper headphones, but it creaks and groans when bent because of the quality of plastic in the band. These are on-ear headphones rather than over-ears, meaning that their cups won’t surround your ears but rather rest upon them.

The Sony WH-CH510 works absolutely fine as an inexpensive pair of on-ears, but like lots of other cheap headphones: it comes with a number of foibles. Thankfully, the padding in the ear cups seems to be of a higher standard than the rest of the unit, so they’re comfortable to wear for extended periods considering their on-ear form factor. It doesn’t work with the Windows PC in our testing setup, but when we leave the lab it connects to a different computer running the same version of Windows and it’s back.
Sony is committed not only to offering products, services and content that deliver exciting experiences but also to working towards our goal of a zero environmental footprint throughout our business activities. What you see is what you get—though that’s not necessarily a bad thing if you just want headphones that work. For truly wireless headphones, it is the battery life of the earbuds only, excluding recharges from charging cases - this means that even the best truly wireless headphones tend to get a mediocre score here, as the per-charge battery life is low compared to other types of headphones.
