Despite being a newer iteration of Spider-Man, Miles Morales already has a huge gallery of suits in his closet. With a properly insulated suit, you can’t ask for much else while fighting bad guys on the merriest of nights. This new Spidey adventure lets players unlock so many unique looks for Miles, and while some are better than others, it’s nice to see even more Spider-history on display in this love letter to the multi-verse of webheads. Billed as a series of one-shots chronicling the final days of various Marvel heroes in the far future, Miles’ issue of “The End” saw him as an old man protecting the last bastion of civilization in Brooklyn as both Spider-Man and its mayor.Miles was originally the Spider-Man of the Ultimate Marvel Universe, inheriting the title not long after the death of that universe’s Peter Parker. Miles’ first comics appearances, he wore a knock-off Spier-Man suit that he eventually decided was in poor taste. During its adaptation of the “Spider-Verse” event, this Miles was more or less the one from the comics, voiced by Donald Glover, who heavily inspired Miles’ creation. The bright red all around the suit and circling the eyes combined with the dark grey is pleasing to the eye, and the non-complex nature of the suit lets Miles’ personality stand center stage. A recent trend in the two fantastic Insomniac Spider-Man games thus far has been to have many of these suits be unlockable and wearable (even in cutscenes, thank goodness).
