About this deal

Off-the-wall characters, wacky storylines and hilarious comic-strip illustrations ensure there are plenty of laughs on every page. His activities usually consist of senseless babblings and innumerable sadistic acts on people, chiefly his housemate Bear, or whoever is closest when he gets his hands on a likely weapon.

Jamie Smart's characters Space Raoul, My Own Genie, Count Von Poo and Fish-Head Steve have all found homes in the pages of The Sunday Times, The Dandy, Toxic comic and The DFC respectively. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Looshkin is named ‘the maddest cat in the world’ for good reason–this kitty is absolutely bonkers and random. First published in the brilliant Phoenix Comic, Jamie Smart’s stories of Looshkin aka ‘the maddest cat in the world’ are now gathered together in a bumper collection of stories, all full colour comic strips, all outrageously funny.Karl, Looshkin's hapless bachelor owner, thinks Looshkin is just lonely and needs a female cat to play with, but the traumatized Bear vehemently disagrees.

So at least we know what he’s getting for Christmas because he made me check and thankfully there is a second Looshkin book out now! Poor Bear often bears the brunt of Looshkin’s energy, along with the rest of the family, and although the events are surreal and hectic, there are lots of laughs throughout. In fact, the book should come with a warning – readers are in danger of laughing themselves into an injury. He has appeared on Sky TV and on the BBC, as well as in numerous publications including The Daily Telegraph. Leave him for just a moment and you'll find that your house has flooded, a steam train has smashed into your living room and a portal to another dimension has opened in your loft.So you thought Bunny Vs Monkey was a high-octane nutfest of utter lunacy, but Jamie Smart was clearly using that to ease us in and prepare us for the freaky feline madness of Looshkin.

He is a humorous character (in the sense of black humor) by some of the things he says or the original comical scenes he'll inflict, such as pretending to be a "Gangsta" and speaking fluent slang that he picked up from "Hood Movies" and going by the name LZ.This bright, super-fun graphic novel stars Captain Spaceington and his wacky crew as they travel the universe in their spaceship, the Star Cat. Possessing a beguiling mix of curiosity and carelessness coupled with being completely oblivious to the destruction and mayhem he causes further adds to the general chaos and bizarre shenanigans. A bumper hardback edition, Machine Mayhem contains an entire years’ worth of stories, all first seen in the Phoenix comic, and they are his usual exuberant mix of madcap action, surreal situations, constant surprises, and extraordinary mechanical gadgets. While I can't confirm this, I assume that these comics are printed at the same size as when they originally appeared in the magazine. The Looshkin comic doesn't feature the dark humour seen in Bear, instead the comic focuses on a slapstick comedy approach.
