Once dissolved and water cooled, place cup and bottle lid (no cap) or silicone gaskets in and soak overnight. Pour 1/4 cup of baking soda into the cup and slowly fill it with white distilled vinegar to about halfway, slightly more for Bottle clean. If your bottle is leaking from between the bottle lid and cup base iteself, or from the bottle cap, please check to make sure your silicone gaskets are fitted correctly. And despite the internal electrics, this cup is safe to handwash and submersible up to 1m in water, but do not put anything but the lid in the dishwasher. When locked, the lid creates a perfect seal and despite our best efforts, which included tipping it upside down and shaking it, we were unable to elicit any liquid out of its confines.
