Don't know if anyone else had this issue, my copy also has a ton of Background noise evident throughout.

No surface noise (after cleaning); I have found a couple of pops on Side A, so took an extra couple of minutes to clean it and that was it!Interstellar's score has been nominated for the 2015 Oscars, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globes, and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. First off I hate the PVC sleeve it comes in, the gatefold is hard to pull out sometimes as it gets stuck to the PVC sleeve. Lots of new house, funk and disco records like to play at faux-rawness, leaving certain elements underproduced and untouched.I know RTI has had several shutdowns over the past year due to COVID and I can only assume that QC suffered from that.

Have been listening to the cd version for years, and even after having read comments (below) about the noisy pressing, I can say my copy sounds brilliant. Listening for the first time now… there is really quite some surface noise… hope that gets better after 1-2 runs. I find this really frustrating, it's such a waste of resources and it makes me wonder how the quality can vary, although I'm fairly certain that another member could enlighten me on this.

According to composer Hans Zimmer, the only information he was given before having to come up with the basic idea, in one day, for the score for ‘Interstellar’, was an envelope from director Christopher Nolan with a note saying “Once we become parents, we can’t help but look at ourselves through the eyes of our children. I had a significant amount of surface noise on my copy on the first play through, like others (even after running it through the spin clean beforehand).
