About this deal

No midrange punch, or true instrument separation, it’s actually fairly one dimensional and clearly compressed, however there is a decent soundstage. I thought I was getting a bargain, but in the end I have a paper weight that will never see the table again. Remastered for the "modern" tastes : compressed (but far less than the cd, thanks God), thin and bright. Throughout his career, John has sold over 300 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artist of all time. The output seems to be really low on this release and this one is being sold in the US for some reason versus the US release.

listed on the labels with initial dots and "Made in England" appears underneath "DICK JAMES MUSIC LTD. Later post-1975 issues are also identified as 'DJLPX' with higher A/B numbers on the deadwax, but the record is black, not translucent red, and it doesn't sound as good as the A1/B1. That said, I really enjoy this one because I owned it when it was first released and it brings me back to my childhood. I used my normal ritual in running it through the Spin Clean then the ultrasonic cleaner and then a zap from the zero stat gun and it was a nice listen.

Elton John has been one of the dominant forces in rock and popular music, especially during the 1970s.

In 2019, Billboard ranked him as the greatest solo artist of all time (third overall behind the Beatles and the Rolling Stones). His success has had a profound impact on popular music and has contributed to the continued popularity of the piano in rock and roll. This OG pressing is excellent, and if it still has the extra goodies, a nice package, available pretty reasonably.Canadian album certifications – Various Artists – The Lion King – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack". Most dynamic and best of the classic EJ records, barring Tumbleweed Connection, which is a necessity. A great collection of songs for sure, but this vinyl is flat with no dynamic range or separation to be found. John has continued to record new music since then, including the albums Songs from the West Coast (2001), The Diving Board (2013), Wonderful Crazy Night (2016), and The Lockdown Sessions (2021). a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z aa ab ac ad ae af ag ah ai aj ak al am an "American certifications – John, Elton".

yeah, this is far from a audiophile pressing and the likes of Kevin Grey, Bernie Grundman or Bob Ludwig are nowhere to be found. John's biggest selling studio album is Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and ranks among the best-selling albums worldwide. I suppose it can be a bit nostalgic because the songs sound like they did when I first heard them through the tinny speakers in my parent's 1964 Chrysler Newport station wagon. In 1970, John released his self-titled second album Elton John, which featured his first hit single, " Your Song". John's commercial success was at its peak in the 1970s, when he released a streak of chart-topping albums in the US and UK, including Honky Château (1972), Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player (1973), Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973), Caribou (1974), Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy (1975), and Rock of the Westies (1975).According to RIAA, he has sold 79 million albums in the United States, making him the 6th-best-selling male solo artist in history. John continued his success in the 1980s and 1990s, having several hit albums including 21 at 33 (1980), Too Low for Zero (1983), Sleeping with the Past (1989), The One (1992), Made in England (1995), and The Big Picture (1997).
