Each of the 11 official Disney princesses are given a short story and some (like Tiana and Ariel) are given up to three each. Lilah, aged 9, from Guildford (Ariel storybook) – Instead of asking for 7th birthday presents, Lilah requested donations for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, which paid for a sandy beach experience at her local hospice for families to enjoy together, which Lilah also helped organise. The writing is extremely simple, which makes for good read-alouds as well as a great collection for young readers. In the UK, Katie Piper and Millie Mackintosh’s readings will be made available to seriously ill children in hospitals and hospices through Disney’s long-term charitable partners.

I've been looking forward to reading this book for a while now but it honestly wasn't worth the wait. I gave this book four stars, however, due to some inconsistencies between some of the stories and the movies, as well as some grammar issues. In 2020, we created over 23,000 life-changing moments for children, young people and loved ones across Europe. I had read a couple of the stories before or read the longer version of the stories that were used for chapter books but none of the stories were really amazing. I expect this will be more fun to read with her when she is older, has a better attention span for the stories, or can even read them herself. The text is pretty large and easy to read, though I love that Disney didn't lessen the vocabulary and there were some great words in here that I think would be an awesome learning opportunity.

Many of them were cute but there were some that didn't even really feel like they were the same characters as the ones from the movies.
