The results were good and the shower doors certainly looked clean with very little effort – a little more attention to detail on my part would have made the doors sparkle! Phosphoric acid is found in fertilisers and water softeners, and is particularly useful at cleaning metals -- it is widely used as an industrial metal cleaner. Removing tough limescale with a natural product can be a tough ask so we found 3 common areas where limescale can build up at different levels to see just how well it works.

You expect a product that says it will remove limescale to do just that and in all of our tests it did do a very good job. Now, I don’t know about you but I’d rather put lemons to a better use – maybe into some delicious Lemon Marmalade or a tempting Lemon Drizzle Cake! To be fair, these marks can probably be polished away with a soft dry cloth if done every day so not a tough test to begin with!Both vinegar and lemon juice are suitable for getting rid of limescale in your washing machine and dishwasher.

Id be happy with a less efficient product if its better for the environment and would give it an extra star!

We had a small problem with the foam running down the kettle both inside and outside so to make sure the foam stayed in contact with the limescale we put a small piece of kitchen paper towel inside the spout and soaked that with the liquid. The Pink Stuff Paste is made from baking soda, quartz, sodium silicate and soap, which makes a mildly abrasive paste - meaning minimal scrubbing is needed. Bicarb is a natural abrasive, which means when you apply it to your glass with a damp cloth and wipe it away with a dry one, it should remove any remaining limescale stains. However, if your limescale is particularly stubborn, spray and leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse and wipe away.

Compared with chemical based products that are extremely harsh this is a very nice feature of this product.The spray nozzle is actually very efficient at delivering the liquid as a foam to the surface to be cleaned.
