During the battle against Mewtwo in File 4 - Charizard, Red's Charizard Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard X and battled Mewtwo. In this continuity, it previously belonged to Cross and evolved from Charmander after defeating a Jigglypuff in battle and later evolved into Charizard after battling Cross's Incineroar. Fire Spin needed four Fire Energy and could deal 100 damage, knocking out the majority of Pokémon cards.
