Description

The 52-degree load result has the Liquid Freezer II about 2 degrees cooler than the X62 at the same noise level. It’s outdoing the X72 and CLC 360, which both struggle at these lower noise levels because they have too many fans at too small of a size, and so they lose pressure.

Liquid coolers take longer to reach equilibrium than air coolers as a result of their water capacity that soaks rapid heat changes better. This is obviously still plenty high on the other side of the heatsink – north of 400FPM, actually – so it’s not like all cooling has vanished. The next measurement is at 100% radiator fan speed, with the radiator mounted approximately 1cm away from the edge of the board. So much so that, while we will be laying out our reasoning for our personal opinion on the topic, you will have to come to your own conclusions. Instead, our answer invariably boils down to getting them to first answer two questions before we make our personal recommendation. Of course, it also comes ready with 450mm long braided EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) tubes and an PWM pump/waterblock combo (2000RPM/copper plate) equipped with a top 3000RPM VRM 40mm fan (which indeed helps with VRM temperatures). I just bought this case and I think 420mm is too much for a first time builder, so I am hoping to mount the 360mm version of this AIO.

The Liquid Freezer II series has high compatibility and is compatible with AMD’s popular AM4 and upcoming AM5 sockets, as well as with modern Intel sockets like Alder Lake. Just received, unboxed Liquid Freezer II, dropped in to the case from the top, to see clearance, so far looks good. Coolers purchased from resellers, however, may still have been shipped without the corresponding accessories.

As discussed in two recent cooler videos we did, that’s because the heat load isn’t enough and the gap between coolers begins to shrink. That’s why it has an asterisk next to it – the data isn’t directly comparable, since liquid temperature is less in control at this low of a static pressure. The FPM baseline was 0 – meaning air was almost literally not moving in the room, or at least in the area of the bench. Today’s review has been the most-requested review from our commenters for about 6 months now, and it’s not even a piece of silicon. With its long tubing, availability in four sizes, and various lighting options, the Liquid Freezer II series is extremely versatile.

When it comes to competitive products from leading cooler manufacturers, the Liquid Freezer II leaves them behind in terms of both performance and noise level. The Arctic Liquid Freezer results were benched 6 times each, with and without the VRM fan, and with 2 sets of re-mounts.Steve from GamersNexus explains you the mistakes to avoid while assembling your water cooling AIO in your PC case. With quad-core CPUs back then these were actually somewhat sufficient but as AMD and Intel added more cores into their CPUs AIO manufacturers slowly introduced larger (140/240/280/360mm) and improved models to keep up with the rather significant increase in temperatures. In general, liquid coolers outlive the usable life of the system, and potentially two systems, but those that fail do so in a much more visible or catastrophic fashion.
