About this deal

Comfort: Having a supportive changing pad will make changes more comfortable for your child. We still recommend thinner portable or disposable changing mats when traveling or in a pinch, just not for everyday changes. Comfort– You need a mat that will ensure your baby is comfortable while you are changing them. Features such as a cushioned head and a soft material to lay them on are so important to keep them safe and cosy.

Straps: Some changing pads include straps for fastening it to the changing surface. This can be beneficial if your changing pad will be in a permanent location such as a changing table. Stability: Opt for a changing pad that has a safety belt and contoured sides to help keep your baby from rolling around, and use the belt every time. A non-skid bottom is also great for keeping the changing pad from sliding around on whatever surface it's placed on. We find many of the molded-foam changing pads to be somewhat naturally grippy. First, some lessons learned from the experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute. Give some thought to your changing table. Restoring an old dresser or reusing an adult piece of furniture with a flat top might seem like a good idea, but we recommend using a product specifically designed for diaper-changing that meets the industry safety standards. A note about milk safety – although some bags are marketed as being able to keep bottles of milk warm for hours on end, we have questions about the safety of this practice. Bacteria loves to grow in warm environments, so keeping a bottle of milk warm for a long period of time seems questionable at best, especially when it’s going to be fed to a vulnerable infant.

Portability: When you’re away from home, the best changing pad will fold easily to fit in your diaper bag. You don’t want to lug around the equivalent of a giant yoga mat. As well as being waterproof, it’s simple to wipe and easy to remove any poo stains. A detachable strap makes it easy to hang on the pushchair when you are out and about. If you have a wriggly baby, you can end the nappy battle with this anti-roll changing mat by The Wriggler! It is designed to stop your little one from wriggling around when it’s changing time.

OFF FASHION DENIM: Savings based on MSRP. Select styles. Prices as marked. Excludes clearance, Sneak Peek and LITTLE PLANET®. Parents who find themselves always on the go will need a safe and healthy way to change their babies away from their home changing tables. Portable changing stations are an excellent solution to this problem. Swimming is one of my favourite things to do with my baby. But when they fill their nappy while in the pool, it is inconvenient to go to the pool toilets to change them. This Splash About changing mat is therefore a perfect choice to change your baby by the pool. You can just lay out the mat and safely change your baby without them touching the floor by the poolside or in the changing rooms. Waterproof material: Sometimes babies give you an extra surprise and pee on everything before you’ve had a chance to load a new diaper. Having a waterproof changing surface and a machine washable cover can save you from a lot of extra clean-up. Pads with softer fills: These can sometimes be machine or hand washed, and you might like to use a splash of white vinegar, bleach, or stain remover to get rid of any soiling. These days, changing bags come with all sorts of useful functions. We recommend you consider what’s necessary for you and your baby’s needs, then take a look at our list to inspire your choice. We took the advice of Mumsnetters on our forums - real parents who’ve used and rated these bags - alongside trusted online publications. Importantly, we did our own testing of some of these bags, to see how they coped in the real world. Whether you want something budget, stylish, small or all-singing-all-dancing, we hope there’s something on here for everyone.

Unfortunately, the first disposable diaper designs were still difficult to use, so originally, they didn’t sell as well as expected. Today, approximately 90% of American parents use disposable diapers. That’s thanks to the many revisions to the original design. Disposable diapers are now lighter and more absorbent. For foam pads: Cotton or polyester pad covers can be washed as usual in your washing machine, but avoid doing the same with the mat itself, as you’ll likely destroy it. Instead, thoroughly wipe it down, and allow it to air dry to prevent any staining. You could also try vacuuming the pad. Material: What is it made from? Whilst cotton can be soft and gentle against your baby’s skin, wipe-down fabrics are far easier to keep clean, with the ability to simply wipe down after use. Some changing mats are relatively thin, whilst others are padded or cushioned and may even include a small support pillow for additional comfort. Whilst comfort for your baby is important, the thinner fabrics are often more lightweight and tend to fold down more flat - handy if you’re particularly limited on space.

Comfy Cubs Infant Waterproof Portable Changing Station

Some parents refer to the foam variety of changing pads as "silicone," but to our knowledge, there are no actual silicone changing pads. The cute bear design is adorable and kids will love it. The innovative design works by the arms of the bear wrapping around your baby to provide a swaddle feel. You can kneel on the kneepads to stop them from moving around when it’s changing time. This can make it a much better experience for you and your baby. OFF FLEECE HOODIES & PANTS: Savings based on MSRP. Select styles. Prices as marked.
