And here’s something interesting: The Disney Movie Club has just revealed new “Blu-ray + DVD + Digital” editions of the classic animated Peter Pan (1953) and The Sword and the Stone (1963). The former is branded as a 70th Anniversary Edition while the latter is a 60th Anniversary Edition. The covers for each are based upon the original theatrical poster artwork. And Peter Pan will apparently have a disc-based special feature that’s exclusive to the DMC release only, which is entitled In Walt’s Words: Peter Pan. Street date is apparently 6/13. As mentioned, there are over seven hours of special features included that range from deleted scenes to featurettes and gag reels. Season 3 also includes audio commentary for five of the episodes, including the series finale “The Last Generation.” This is really fun and insightful, with Jonathan Frakes also appearing alongside other creatives. The featurettes and deleted scenes for the final season are particularly touching since it’s so great to see the whole crew reunited for one more Star Trek installment.
